On a lazy weekday in February, we ventured back out to the Disneyland Resort just a few days after the fire scare in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. There was no visible closure of any level in Mickey and Friends so it was business as usual at the Resort. Plainly visible, however, was the amount of construction going on around the park and the amount of marketing for AP Days and the return of Main Street Electrical Parade (for a limited time). Disneyland Resort Update – February 15th 2017
Buena Park, CA (February 2017) – This Valentine’s Day through March 5th, Supreme Scream, towering over 312 feet in the air, will be lit pink and glow for miles in honor of the Knott’s for the Cure program. During the evening, starting – Tuesday, February 14th, Supreme Scream along with the famous Calico Mine Ride, will glow pink in support of the Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G. Komen Orange County partnership and will continue to shine across the Buena Park skyline each night for the duration of the promotion. 
After several days of rain and cloudy skies, this morning was the perfect time to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain for a quick update! This is one of the last weekends to ride the New Revolution ‘Classic Style’ before the arrival of the Galactic Attack Mixed Reality VR. Of course we’re also taking a look at the Justice League: Battle for Metropolis construction! 
Last week it looked an awful lot like Montezooma’s Revenge would be repainted to the old Gold it originally opened with. This week we made the discovery that that’s NOT the case. California’s Great America showed off the brand new Patriot trains a while ago, and during the park’s off-season, lots of work has been done to convert Vortex to Patriot. The Stand-Up to Floorless conversion is the second one to take place in the Cedar Fair chain. The park just released a video showing off the cars being placed on the freshly-painted blue tracks! 
VALENCIA, Calif. — February 8, 2017 — Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, (NYSE:SIX) and Samsung Electronics America, Inc., the “Official Technology Partner” of the world’s largest regional theme park company, today announced its renewed collaboration on virtual reality roller coasters with the unveiling of a bold, innovative twist on the experience at Six Flags parks. Last spring, the two companies joined forces to introduce North America’s first Virtual Reality (VR) Roller Coasters using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus, and now in 2017— for the first time ever, riders will be offered a one-of-a-kind mixed reality experience that only Six Flags can deliver. Another world’s first—complex gameplay, where riders make key decisions during the course of the ride that can affect their scoring at the end. 
It was time to check out the progress made on Knott’s Berry Farm’s current projects, and of course catch a ride on GhostRider that reopened from a refurbishment. There turned out to be a lot to cover in this update, including changes being made to Montezooma’s Revenge, which is looking a lot like a complete repaint to turn the ride to its original gold look.

It was time to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain with some daylight after many quick evening trips the past few weeks! Follow along as we take a look at every corner of the park and all the Metropolis construction. There’s a lot to update on! 
We’re finally back at the Disneyland Resort as the holiday season and crowds are over and done with. A lot has happened in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure since we last had an official update so there’s a lot to cover!
The “Year of the Rooster” gets a wake-up call from DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda stars, Po and Tigress when they make their first-ever appearance during Universal Studios Hollywood’s annual Lunar New Year. The event is included in the price of theme park admission and will take place from 
SeaWorld San Diego just announced their new coaster for 2018, which features an electrifying theme and color scheme and will launch riders high above Mission Bay as San Diego’s tallest and fastest coaster! The new Premier Rides Multi-Launch coaster is part of the park’s huge makeover and will add to the park’s line-up of thrilling attractions! 
After wrapping up some Holiday-related trips it was time to head back to Universal Studios Hollywood for a few hours! And I only stayed for a few hours indeed, as upon arrival it became terrifyingly clear I was here on the wrong day. It took about an hour to enter the park, and by the time I left a few hours later, the park had sold out for the day! Let’s take a look at construction around the park, and some crowd-pics! 
We took a small break after a year of constant construction updates, attraction openings, backstage tours, park updates, trip reports, out of state trips, and of course Halloween and Holiday events. We traveled south to SeaWorld San Diego to experience the park’s annual SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration with special shows, attractions, ride overlays, food, and lots of holiday decorations! Join us as we take you around the park and show all sorts of attractions the event has to offer! 
I went back to Knott’s Berry Farm with my new partner in crime and photographer last week to enjoy the park and its seasonal charm without the rain. It’s always great being at the park and being able to marathon Xcelerator for example.
