As SeaWorld® San Diego prepares to debut its new Orca Encounter this summer, the park continues to conduct live, educational killer whale presentations for visitors each day. Temporary seating (bleachers) are set up around the orca underwater viewing area pool, providing park visitors with an intimate killer whale presentation while the new Orca Encounter backdrop is being constructed at the main pool.
These up-close presentations feature educational information about the orcas—their physiology, trainer interaction and husbandry, and also include a training session demonstration. The presentations are held multiple times daily; the schedule can be found online at www.SeaWorldSanDiego.com or on the park map.
