It’s that beautiful period of limbo between the summer season and Haunt season where the crowds just seem to melt away. After the cessation of weekday operation, there has still been a lot to cover at the park. Floortex is continuing in its semi confirmed transformation, and Halloween Haunt preparation is in full swing. Dare we say we have a leaked list of this years mazes and scare zones? Perhaps. Well we’re back at Disneyland and the summer crowds have disappeared. For a Saturday the park was certainly empty, especially compared to the masses seen over the summer. Knott’s Scary Farm 2015 Announcement Event!
One of the best events each year, is the Knott’s Scary Farm Announcements event. Media and crazy-awesome Knott’s passholders gather at the park’s largest theater to witness the moment at which Knott’s Berry Farm reveals all the details of that year’s Haunt. The real summer crowds have disappeared as local schools are back in session, and the summer tourism is slowly dying down. It’s the time of year that serious Fright Fest preparations start. Farewell ROAR
In 1999, Roar opened to the public as Northern California’s largest wooden coaster, and the first ever roller coaster to feature GCI’s Millennium Flyer trains, on National Roller Coaster Day August 16th 2015, it was permanently retired to make room for future expansion. Of course, we were there to cover it and both say farewell to a fantastic ride, and celebrate its great run over the years.
