It was a wonderful day out at Six Flags Magic Mountain, nice Spring weather before the crushing summer heat. Surprisingly the park wasn’t too busy today. The crowds seemed to disappear around 6PM allowing for marathon-rides on several of the park’s bigger coasters. There are several changes around the park, including the new Full Throttle light package, and the new slides that are coming to Hurricane Harbor and all the juicy details surrounding them. 
Six Flags Magic Mountain hosted a Media Event for The New Revolution today, and it was beyond marvelous to ride this lovely coaster again, and without the painful OTSRs! Not to forget we also experienced The New Revolution VR (Virtual Reality) experience. Join us as we take a look around the new station, entrance, and line, as well as in-depth discuss the new trains and VR experience! (Including videos). 
Later this week Six Flags Magic Mountain’s new 2016 addition, The New Revolution, will start running for Season Pass Previews. I’ll be taking a look at the ride later this week as well, so here’s our last update before it starts running with guests! We also have a bunch more Six Flags Magic Mountain update content from all around the park, including a look at Scream!’s new colored and freshly refurbished trains! 
California is home to a wide variety of different coasters, including about a dozen that feature some form of backwards motion. In the tradition of this series, we will be ranking the top five coasters with excellent backwards sections and elements, not just the coaster as a whole. As a result coasters with a brief or uneventful backwards section may not be included. With that in mind, let’s begin. 
With plenty of week-to-week changes, and with Six Flags Discovery Kingdom being closed with the weather in Northern California, I saw need in yet another Six Flags Magic Mountain update! This update combines The New Revolution with other exciting things going on around the park, including several official openings of new stores and restaurants! 
Since I was unable to attend the actual New Revolution tour on Thursday, Six Flags Magic Mountain PR was incredibly kind to offer me a personal tour of The New Revolution, the day after! Luckily a lot can change in a day, so I may have a few things in this report you haven’t seen before. The ride started testing Thursday night, and is testing as I’m writing this today (Saturday). In this tour report we’ll look at the new area, the continued repaint, the new trains, new signage, the VR system, and quite more. Let’s get to it! 
Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed thrill capital of the world, today announced final details for The New Revolution, North America’s first fully-integrated Virtual Reality (VR) roller coaster from Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus, to develop a multi-dimensional virtual coaster experience. The Valencia-based theme park stays true to its history of launching coaster thrills to new and unprecedented levels of exhilaration by immersing riders in a completely virtual world. 
What happens when Bring a Free Friend Day coincides with a Cheer Championship, and nice weather? Hell is created! Six Flags Magic Mountain reached capacity early on in the afternoon, having to send hundreds of cars away. It was awesome to see the park with this attendance, though it wasn’t very enjoyable 😛 . Though I just posted a New Revolution Update, in this update we’ll be taking a look around the park itself, and the crazy crowds of course! 
So I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain today for a New Revolution Update. Little did I expect that my usual 5 minute drive to the park’s parking lot turned into a 60 minute one. The park reached parking capacity, and it took me 90 minutes to park and get inside the park. So keep in mind the hell I went through to get this update. I’ll also be posting a regular Six Flags Magic Mountain update with pictures of the wonderful crowds! Let’s start taking a look at The New Revolution and the renewed Six Flags Plaza! 
We were at Six Flags Magic Mountain earlier this week for a backstage New Revolution tour! We’re back to show you the changes made over the past few days, which are surprisingly many after only a few day! In this update we’re also throwing in tiny bits and pieces of surrounding rides and upgrades corresponding to the New Revolution! 
Today was a wonderful day out, weather wise and coaster wise. I was very excited to be invited to the first New Revolution tour, where we got a chance to see the progress made so far, including the station and entry plaza. Of course I learned quite a bit, most of which I will provide you with in the tour report. In this report we’ll be looking at The New Revolution as well as all the changes being made to the Six Flags Plaza! 
The saying goes that numbers don’t lie, but they don’t always tell the whole truth. Although a towering giant of a coaster can deliver an unforgettable ride experience, sometimes big things come in small packages.That’s exactly what we’re looking at today. Height is just a number, a ride should speak for itself, and that’s exactly what these five coasters under the height of a hundred feet do. 
This is the second update from Six Flags Magic Mountain today. With a lot change around the park, and even more around The New Revolution and Six Flags Plaza, I created two updates. This right here is The New Revolution one. We’ve got many angles of a lot of repainted parts as well as more upgrades to the station and the start of landscaping! 
It seems to be absolutely gorgeous weather out in Southern California this weekend! After the wonderful sun-filled day at Universal Studios Hollywood yesterday, I woke up early to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain today! There are lots of things going on around the park. So many even that this update is separate from today’s New Revolution Update! The New Revolution Update is now LIVE on our site as well. A link is located below this update. 
On Saturday January 23rd, several ACE Members/ Film makers premiered their newest work, a wonderful documentary telling the story of one of the most influential theme-park ride and rollercoaster manufacturers the world has ever seen, Arrow. On January 30th, a week later, the crew came down south to Six Flags Magic Mountain to show coaster-fans their work. I was there and must say it was wonderful! 
Not a full Six Flags Magic Mountain Update this time! Just The New Revolution, on which a lot of work has been done already, and continues to be done! In this update we’ll be looking mostly at the ride repaint and station, as well as the Carousel that’s receiving a refurbishment in repaint in the same area. 
California Coaster Kings is hosting a Q&A session on Tuesday January 26th through a public Skype session. In this Q&A session, we’ll be discussing The Joker (of which we just took a tour) and The New Revolution (on which heavy work has started), as well as any questions our readers may have related to other topics! After being at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for a Joker Tour yesterday, I drove back down for a Six Flags Magic Mountain trip today. To my surprise there was quite a bit to update on, so in this Six Flags Magic Mountain and New Revolution Update we’ll start off with some general park stuff, then we’ll take an extensive look at the rapid process being made with the upgrades The New Revolution is receiving, and then we’ll have some cool Twisted Colossus news for you! 
We were back at Six Flags Magic Mountain today for some quick rides and of course an update including some New Revolution changes. Well quite a few changes actually! The park was surprisingly empty for a Saturday, so I got some rides in, the update in, and was in and out in under 2 hours. Let’s take a look around the park and at The New Revolution!
