West Coast Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain: Our First Thoughts!

Derek: The eagerly anticipated Premier Rides Inc. roller coaster, West Coast Racers, is having an action packed week at Six Flags Magic Mountain! After testing throughout the past month, the new CEO of Six Flags got to experience the brand new attraction on Wednesday, December 18th. Universal Studios Hollywood Park Update – December 14th, 2019

Preston: The Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood are in full effect, so we decided to power through the Los Angeles traffic in order to check out all the Christmas festivities. Holiday in the Park and West Coast Racers Testing – Six Flags Magic Mountain Park Update – December 7, 2019

Preston: This past Saturday, we had the opportunity to attend Magic Mountain’s media event for Holiday in the Park. We were able to sample some of the new foods and treats they have available during the season for their holiday food festival. And, we took a lap around the park to take in all the beautiful Holiday decorations. Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – Holiday in the Park 2019

Derek: Holiday in the Park kicked off the season at Six Flags Magic Mountain and runs daily until January 5th. Many returning favorites are featured around the park along with some tweaks and new additions. A large Christmas tree now stands tall next to Santa’s Cottage and Coca-cola polar bear photo ops are positioned in a few locations including across from Food Etc. and next to Studio 6F.

Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair – New for 2020!

Southern California’s original theme park, Knott’s Berry Farm, will commemorate its 100th anniversary with its largest celebration ever, all paying tribute to the Knott family’s rich history and legacy of family fun for all. Kicking off May 15 through August 30, “A Knott’s Family Reunion,” will bring together old classics with new favorites, which includes the return of the beloved Bear-y Tales story in an all-new 4-D interactive dark ride, bringing to life a continuation of the classic attraction initially commissioned by the Knott Family and created in 1975 by the legendary attraction designer Rolly Crump. Halloween Horror Nights 2019 Review – Universal Studios Hollywood

Preston: Spooky season has arrived and with that comes my favorite haunt of the year: Halloween Horror Nights! Let me just say, before we get into the thick of the review, that this year was incredible! The overall ’80’s theme really works well! We were able to attend Fan Preview Night on Thursday the 12th along with a revisit on Saturday the 14th. I’ve done all the mazes and I’m ready to give you my full ranking of them all!

The 5 Best (Non-Disney) Vekomas in the US!

Sean: Obviously we like Vekoma’s products, and though admittedly some can be a bit rough or intense to the point where most modern riders find them uncomfortable, not all Vekoma coasters are created equally. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Review – Disneyland Park – June 15th, 2019

Preston: I’ve been waiting for this for such a long time! After it being announced in 2015, FOUR YEARS AGO, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened at the Disneyland Resort this past Friday, May 31st. I was lucky enough to be able to secure an opening day reservation for the land earlier in the month when they became available. This trip report is going to cover EVERYTHING in Galaxy’s Edge. From Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, to Oga’s Cantina, to the Droid Depot, and everything in between.
