Preston: There are some new things popping up around the entire Disneyland Resort. One of the most intriguing happenings that has gone on recently is the entire renovation of the Downtown Disney District. With new shops, restaurants, and other experiences popping up left and right, it sure is an exciting time to be a local. I guess I was mainly inspired by Knott’s Berry Farm’s impressive ability to add boysenberry to pretty much anything. I wanted to find a way to incorporate actual berries as artistic materials. The hardest part of the whole process was finding boysenberries in February. I was about to give up and use blackberries instead when I found frozen boysenberries at Mother’s Market. The Newly Expanded Knott’s Boysenberry Festival Offers a Month of Daily Boysenberry Goodness March 29 – April 28

The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is an annual food-inspired event that celebrates the park’s historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. This year’s newly-expanded festival will feature over 75 unique boysenberry-inspired creations crafted by the Knott’s culinary team. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a tantalizing line up of dishes ranging from savory foods with a boysenberry twist to one-of-a-kind specialty desserts and drinks that can only be found at Knott’s Berry Farm during this time of the year. In addition to the numerous food and drink offerings, the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of local crafters, live music, musical stage shows and fun activities for guests of all ages to enjoy. This year’s Boysenberry Festival runs 31 days starting March 29, operating daily through April 28, 2019. Derrion: The Peanuts Celebrations is back at Knott’s Berry Farm and what an amazing time it was . There were many fun activities for all ages and the atmosphere was superb. This was my first time experiencing the Peanuts Celebration and I enjoy that the park takes the time to pay homage to the late Charles Schultz. Mary Poppins, Mickey’s Mix Magic and Castle Refurbishment – Disneyland Resort Update – Mid January 2019

Preston: During the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, we decided to head back to the Disneyland Resort to check out the new “Get Your Ears On” festival. The Holiday festivities ended only two weekends ago, but the entire resort has an brand new fresh feeling due to the new celebration. In this update, we’ll take a look at the brand new offerings for Get Your Ears On, the new parking structure and how it’s coming along, some new (and newly reopened) restaurants at the Downtown Disney District, the new temporary Mary Poppins Returns exhibit in Disneyland Park, as well as some routine refurbishments.
