Sean: We all know Dollywood, the Dolly Parton theme park. Known for good food, better shows, and some highlight roller coasters that make the park a heaven for pretty much any theme park enthusiast. Zach: While illness prevented us from visiting the Disneyland Resort over the week or so, some spring time sunshine provided for a beautiful (busy) weekend visit. Star Wars Land and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout construction is coming along quite nicely so we snapped some pictures, but first we start this article with a (not really) Dramatic announcement!
Byron: California’s Great America was nice enough to invite us to the media day for their new ride experience for 2017; Patriot! After a 25 year run as one of the first B&M stand up coasters, Vortex closed last year to receive new floorless trains and be converted to Patriot. Below I’ll go over what the media day and opening ceremony consisted of, as well as my thoughts on this new ride experience.
Sean: I’m back from my Southeast trip and meanwhile Six Flags Magic Mountain has opened for daily operations! I was time to get some Viper rides in and take a look at what the newest changes are around the park. There turned out to be quite a bit to report on, including more Apocalypse construction, repaints, Metropolis, and more! 
Sean: Sol Spin, Knott’s Berry Farm’s newest thrill ride, has arrived at the park and has been assembled in Fiesta Village. It looks like the details and patterns have yet to be placed on the ride mechanism, as only the basic colors are exposed. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Sean: Thank you to Six Flags Magic Mountain for hosting another Justice League: Battle for Metropolis construction tour! This new Sally Corp. interactive dark ride will be a special upgraded version from the other versions found in the Six Flags chain. Let’s take a look at the progress made! 
Knott’s Berry Farm, its parent company Cedar Fair Entertainment and VRstudios announced today the details of the first permanent installation of a free-roaming, multi-player VR experience in a U.S. theme park, which will be located inside the Knott’s Berry Farm Boardwalk Arcade. A new custom and industry first virtual reality (VR) experience, “VR Showdown in Ghost Town” will make its debut in April, and is exclusively available at Knott’s Berry Farm. 
Sean: Time for another Six Flags Magic Mountain update! Or should I say “Oblivia”?

Sean: I had the chance to make a quick trip out to Six Flags Magic Mountain to check out the new Galactic Attack Mixed Reality on The New Revolution! While I was at the park I collected some more quick update-worthy information. In this quick update you’ll find some ride-related news, Justice League and Metropolis construction, and of course a review of the new Galactic Attack VR! 
As we’re slowly getting in to adding the Disneyland Resort to our full-time coverage, we will more frequently drop quick updates! Here’s a late February update in which we look around Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park and the never-ending refurbishments! 😀 
Sean: SeaWorld San Diego is not wasting any time converting the current park into a newer style Marine Park! In fact, 2017 marks the biggest new attractions roll-out in the history of the park, which opened in 1964! SeaWorld San Diego launches a new themed area with aquariums, a dark ride, family rides, shops and restaurants! In addition to which the park debuts a new Orca exhibit and demonstration that you simply can’t miss! To top it all off the park celebrates a new summertime night time extravaganza! 
This spring, join Knott’s as it celebrates the flavorful berry that started it all, the boysenberry, during the much anticipated Knott’s Boysenberry Festival. For the first time ever, the mouthwatering festival is expanding to three weeks,
