California’s Great America will add to its incredible lineup of live entertainment and festivals with Red, White & Brews, a hometown celebration of Americana food and fun taking place May 27-29 and June 3-4. Red, White & Brews will bring the Hometown Square area of the park to life with locally sourced food experiences, more than 25 regional craft brews, Northern California wines, Bay Area bands, outdoor games and kids entertainment. Sean: Six Flags has recently acquired Waterworld California. The nearest Six Flags Park is about 20 minutes away, which is Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has now announced a new pass that allows pass holders to visit both parks unlimited this season! The Ride & Slide Pass.
SeaWorld San Diego’s long-awaited, all-new, inspiring Orca Encounter will debut this summer highlighting SeaWorld’s majestic killer whales in a documentary-style format featuring a three-story, first-of-its-kind infinity screen and a natural rugged coastline setting complete with towering pines and picturesque waterfalls.

Sean: Due to increasing changes in all of our schedules it’s been a while since we brought you a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Update, but in the midst of Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth construction it was a great time to be back at the park. The weather was cooperative and we always love getting on some of our favorite coasters… if they’re open… Let’s take a look at Wonder Woman construction, along with operations and other changes at the park!
Sean: After lots of different coverage in the last few days ranging from international coverage to some lesser-known Californian parks, Disney and lots of Knott’s Berry Farm, it was time for another Six Flags Magic Mountain Update! In today’s update we’ll discuss the water slide repaint at Hurricane Harbor, the Apocalypse retracking, the Riddler’s Revenge repaint, Metropolis and more!

Sean: Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City are buzzing lately, and with just a few weeks ’til the opening of the seven new Soak City slides, and the rapid removal of Boomerang, we have plenty to look at in this update, with a ton of pictures!


Sean/McLaren: We swung by Knott’s Tuesday to see what was going on during this nice afternoon in Southern California, and to see if Boomerang deconstruction had progressed at all since its closing, after operations ended on April 23rd. In this Update we’ll also take a look at the awesome progress being made on Knott’s Soak City. Which is receiving 7 new slides this year!
Sean/McLaren: Knott’s Berry Farm officially opened Sol Spin on April 21st after several weeks of construction and testing, and of course we were there to check it out! The park’s newest ride is located on the lot where WindSeeker used to reside and offers guests a totally unique experience in the Californian theme park world. Let’s take a look at Sol Spin and what our experience of the new thrill ride was like!
