NEW: Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord!

 Waterworld Concord will be rebranded Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord, when it opens this spring for the 2018 season. Northern California’s biggest and most thrilling waterpark will debut an exciting new attraction—Splashwater Island—a colossal water play area featuring more than 100 interactive sprayers, water jets and geysers. Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – February 21st, 2018

Sean: Another Six Flags Magic Mountain update! We were just at the park a few days ago, but since then there have already been some changes worth noting. This includes Apocalypse operations, the continuation of the Jet Stream refurbishment, as well as additional brakes being installed on Green Lantern: First Flight. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain to be Solar Powered!

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:SIX), the world’s largest regional theme park company, in partnership with JLL (NYSE:JLL), a global professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management, today announced an ambitious new initiative to power two more of its parks—Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California and Six Flags Magic Mountain, near Los Angeles—almost entirely with solar power. Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – January 16th, 2018

Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – December 29th 2017

Sean: I may live next to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and visit quite frequently, but with the holidays, travels across the country and the state, it has been a while that we actually got an update for you all. But with the park being open every day from now on, those updates will be pouring in all 2018 long. Let’s throw in a late 2017 update to end yet another year of updates around the state. Floorless Ninja: How Vekoma Trains Could Elevate the Blackbelt of Coasters

Alexander: Here at CCK, we love Ninja. It’s one of our favorite coasters in California, and a must-ride on every visit to Magic Mountain.

We are also huge Arrow Dynamics fans in general and are positively enamored with Arrow Suspended coasters. The 5 Arrow Suspended coasters still in operation are my favorite coasters at their respective parks (yes, even Cedar Point’s Iron Dragon)

Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest 2017 – Scare Zone Reviews

Sean: Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest is back for another big year of haunting. In the past years they have had a lot of Scare Zones, they toned it down a bit to just six this year. Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest has been one of the few events that has always impressed me with their Scare Zones, and unlike separately ticketed events, much relies on their Scare Zones. Splashwater Island Coming to Waterworld Concord in 2018!

Byron: Waterworld Concord, which was recently reacquired by Six Flags will be adding a new attraction in 2018 along with the rest of the Six Flags parks. Their new water play area, Splashwater Island, marks the largest addition this decade. For a water park, the promise from Six Flags of a new addition each year should mean some pretty significant change, as even small investments capital wise carry a lot of weight.
