It was a pleasure to finally be back at California’s Great America after a rather long break from coverage. We do apologize for the recent CGA coverage break but we are returning to our normal schedule so expect much more in the future. More Roar…
Roar has been a staple of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom since its opening, and although it has had a bit of inconsistency in its quality, it has always been a fan favorite. Despite its recent high-quality operations, the park has announced that Roar will be closing on August 16th of 2015 to make way for future attractions. Now, mostly any coaster enthusiast is aware of what this may mean… Rocky Mountain Construction. Even though it has yet to be confirmed, it has been heavily rumored and seems to be by far the most likely option for the park next year. So, what does this mean? Is this really a good fit? Today was the red carpet premiere event of Fast & Furious – Supercharged at Universal Studios Hollywood! The event took place on the back lot, trams dropped off the invited media and guests on New York street, after which we walked into the iconic Court House Square, where the ‘stunt’ opening was held. Twisted Colossus: perhaps it’s the eight wonder of the world. Perhaps it’s the craziest air-machine in California (who am I kidding… IT IS the craziest air-machine in the state)… This ride has set Six Flags Magic Mountain apart. The new Season Shopping Pass gives you a 20% on retail purchases — with NO minimum purchase — every time you visit.
Season Shopping Pass is only available to Thrill Pass Holders and Season Pass Holders. Valid at Six Flags Magic Mountain through January 3, 2016. Vouchers are non-transferable and Season Pass ID must be presented when making a purchase. Participating locations are subject to change.
