THE NEW REVOLUTION… VR!

VR (Large)Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed thrill capital of the world, today announced final details for The New Revolution, North America’s first fully-integrated Virtual Reality (VR) roller coaster from Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus, to develop a multi-dimensional virtual coaster experience. The Valencia-based theme park stays true to its history of launching coaster thrills to new and unprecedented levels of exhilaration by immersing riders in a completely virtual world. Six Flags Magic Mountain at Capacity + Quick Update

20160228_143647 (Large)What happens when Bring a Free Friend Day coincides with a Cheer Championship, and nice weather? Hell is created! Six Flags Magic Mountain reached capacity early on in the afternoon, having to send hundreds of cars away. It was awesome to see the park with this attendance, though it wasn’t very enjoyable 😛 . The New Revolution Update – February 28th

20160228_143037 (Large)So I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain today for a New Revolution Update. Little did I expect that my usual 5 minute drive to the park’s parking lot turned into a 60 minute one. The park reached parking capacity, and it took me 90 minutes to park and get inside the park. So keep in mind the hell I went through to get this update. I’ll also be posting a regular Six Flags Magic Mountain update with pictures of the wonderful crowds! Ride Review: The Smiler – Alton Towers

Alton Towers’ newest coaster, The Smiler, smashed the world record for inversions on a coaster when it opened in 2013. Sadly, it is perhaps best known today for the terrible incident in June of last year when two trains collided on the track, resulting in multiple severe injuries to riders on the front row. Knott’s Berry Farm – New GhostRider and Ghost Town Opening Dates

Knott’s Berry Farm announced today that its celebration of the 75th anniversary of the historic old west Ghost Town will run May 27 through September 5. To mark 75 years of Ghost Town, Knott’s will reopen GhostRider, the longest, tallest, and fastest wooden roller coaster on the West Coast on May 27 following a complete restoration. Knott’s Boysenberry Festival 2016!
