Disney is truly in a league of their own when it comes to themed areas. Our recent podcast covered this in great detail, but we wanted to produce a follow-up article to make a couple changes and reiterate some of our key points.
A quick trip to Magic Kingdom was even shorter than we anticipated due to the larger crowds. We recently visited Europa Park, one of the most famous theme parks in the world. The park is considered the best theme park in the world by some enthusiasts. This report will focus on a collection of the best things to do and see at this diverse park. Of course, we will go into detail on the coasters they have on offer too!
Holiday Park, located in Germany is a sister park to Plopsaland in Belgium and is renowned for its world-class Intamin megacoaster: Expedition GeForce. There’s a lot more to see and do in the park, but a trip to this smaller sized park, is worth it for a ride on the coaster itself.
With the opening of Corkscrew in 1975 Arrow Development not only introduced the first modern looping roller coaster it also introduced the first inverting coaster element that wasn’t a vertical loop. Though people complain about Arrow’s use of “cookie cutter” elements on its looping coasters we still see almost every element Arrow introduced being used today. For over 20 years these “cookie cutter” inversions were what it meant to ride a looping coaster and I think Arrow loopers continue to be the first “upside down” ride for many people. Why? – Well, Rise of the Resistance is running with just one elevator, and with the chances of that being a smooth process being very slim, a trip to Magic Kingdom suddenly was much more appealing to us.
