California is home to a wide variety of different coasters, including about a dozen that feature some form of backwards motion. In the tradition of this series, we will be ranking the top five coasters with excellent backwards sections and elements, not just the coaster as a whole. The 5 Best Coasters in California to go Backwards
Northern California has been subjected to some crazy and unfortunate weather over the past few weeks, and as a result, making trips out to the wonderful Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has proved a bit tricky. After checking the park’s website this morning and seeing it wasn’t closed despite the weather I made the hour and a half drive out to once again capture the speedy construction of what is sure to be a legendary coaster, The Joker. 
With all the craziness going on elsewhere around the state, we can’t forget that Knott’s Berry Farm is undergoing major changes as well! With huge renovations, a new Starbucks, GhostRider and a whole revitalized Ghost Town, there sure is plenty going on at the Buena Park park. Today’s update takes a look at all that, ride refurbishments, Boysenberry Festival, and a whole lot more! 
Since I was unable to attend the actual New Revolution tour on Thursday, Six Flags Magic Mountain PR was incredibly kind to offer me a personal tour of The New Revolution, the day after! Luckily a lot can change in a day, so I may have a few things in this report you haven’t seen before. The ride started testing Thursday night, and is testing as I’m writing this today (Saturday). In this tour report we’ll look at the new area, the continued repaint, the new trains, new signage, the VR system, and quite more. Let’s get to it! 
Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed thrill capital of the world, today announced final details for The New Revolution, North America’s first fully-integrated Virtual Reality (VR) roller coaster from Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus, to develop a multi-dimensional virtual coaster experience. The Valencia-based theme park stays true to its history of launching coaster thrills to new and unprecedented levels of exhilaration by immersing riders in a completely virtual world. 
What happens when Bring a Free Friend Day coincides with a Cheer Championship, and nice weather? Hell is created! Six Flags Magic Mountain reached capacity early on in the afternoon, having to send hundreds of cars away. It was awesome to see the park with this attendance, though it wasn’t very enjoyable 😛 . Though I just posted a New Revolution Update, in this update we’ll be taking a look around the park itself, and the crazy crowds of course! 
So I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain today for a New Revolution Update. Little did I expect that my usual 5 minute drive to the park’s parking lot turned into a 60 minute one. The park reached parking capacity, and it took me 90 minutes to park and get inside the park. So keep in mind the hell I went through to get this update. I’ll also be posting a regular Six Flags Magic Mountain update with pictures of the wonderful crowds! Let’s start taking a look at The New Revolution and the renewed Six Flags Plaza! 
Although some of the most famous and talked about drops are found on massive roller coasters or drop towers, there’s something uniquely thrilling about a relatively unrestrained drop that ends in a splash, especially on a hot sunny California day. This list will be counting down the top five drops found on water rides throughout our wonderful state of California.

We were at Six Flags Magic Mountain earlier this week for a backstage New Revolution tour! We’re back to show you the changes made over the past few days, which are surprisingly many after only a few day! In this update we’re also throwing in tiny bits and pieces of surrounding rides and upgrades corresponding to the New Revolution! 
After six long hours of baking in the sun in front of Hogsmeade… The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened for guests to enjoy for the rest of the day. As it was ‘soft’ opened there are still tweaks that will be made… but let me start off with saying that the experience was already incredible! Immersive, exciting, and so intensely detailed you will discover amazing book and movie references in every direction you look. Let’s take a look! 
California’s Great America has announced that not only will they be remaining open for the winter season next year, but they will be holding a holiday event as well by the name of WinterFest. In this article we will briefly break down what this event will consist of, as well as our thoughts and opinions on this recent announcement. We hope you enjoy it. 
SeaWorld San Diego is opening a couple of new rides in Spring of 2017! And it wouldn’t be SeaWorld if it didn’t involve an awesome way to further explore creatures from the earth’s oceans. The new ride/area is thus filled with aquariums. Let’s find out what exactly we can expect to see coming to SeaWorld San Diego in 2017! 
Today was a wonderful day out, weather wise and coaster wise. I was very excited to be invited to the first New Revolution tour, where we got a chance to see the progress made so far, including the station and entry plaza. Of course I learned quite a bit, most of which I will provide you with in the tour report. In this report we’ll be looking at The New Revolution as well as all the changes being made to the Six Flags Plaza! 
We continue our frequent Joker coverage with yet another update! It’s only been a week since our last update, but an entire element has been finished, and half a new element has already been placed. As well as some other noteworthy changes to the ride’s construction. It sure was a wonderful day for Joker pics, here’s our wonderful Joker update! 
This Valentine’s Day week through March 18, Supreme Scream, visible for miles – towering over 312 feet in the air, will be transformed into a monumental beacon of hope as it is lit pink in honor of the third annual Knott’s for the Cure partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County. The brilliantly lit Supreme Scream will join the famous Calico Mine Ride, which rises more than seven stories high and currently glows pink in support of the partnership.Look at the awesome pictures below! 
The saying goes that numbers don’t lie, but they don’t always tell the whole truth. Although a towering giant of a coaster can deliver an unforgettable ride experience, sometimes big things come in small packages.That’s exactly what we’re looking at today. Height is just a number, a ride should speak for itself, and that’s exactly what these five coasters under the height of a hundred feet do. 
After the recent behind the scenes construction tour, we had to come back as soon as we could to see the progress on this world class coaster in the making. There has been much track work done since our last visit, including the completion of the world’s first step up under flip , and the pace really seems to be picking up as we inch closer to opening day. 
This is the second update from Six Flags Magic Mountain today. With a lot change around the park, and even more around The New Revolution and Six Flags Plaza, I created two updates. This right here is The New Revolution one. We’ve got many angles of a lot of repainted parts as well as more upgrades to the station and the start of landscaping! 
Another week, another Universal Studios Hollywood Update. And another big one while we’re at it. With the final Wizarding World of Harry Potter touches and the Chinese Lunar New Year that Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating, there’s plenty to update on. Not to forget the countless construction and changes around the park!
