I was craving a ride on the Studio Tour and couldn’t wait to take another look at the magical new expansion called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter… So here was I again, back at Universal Studios Hollywood! After being at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for a Joker Tour yesterday, I drove back down for a Six Flags Magic Mountain trip today. From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ sci-fi action adventure “Pacific Rim” is now a pulse-pounding new 5D ride experience at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Presented in Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Iwerks 5D Theater, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, “Pacific Rim 5-D” opens with special limited sneak previews in January, with an official opening in the coming weeks. Knott’s Berry Farm announced today that it will open its first Starbucks location. The 935 square foot Starbucks store will open in March 2016 in the California MarketPlace, just outside the Park’s main entrance, and will offer Starbuck’s world class coffee drinks and entrees. It was one of those ‘I should’ve probably not visited a theme-park on this stormy day’ sort of day. Yet I had more fun than perhaps ever before. With a totally deserted park there were no lines of course, and with the pouring rain I almost slipped a bunch of times (always fun) in addition I got to see the more of Wizarding World of Harry Potter as walls are pushed back and there’s a lot more visible. We made another trip out to the wonderful Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to check on the progress made on The Joker over the course of these past two weeks, and we were very happy to see that things are indeed moving along at quite a good pace.
