SeaWorld San Diego – Trip Report July 2016
We were back at one of our favorite parks in the state (or anywhere really), SeaWorld San Diego! The park that perfectly combines rides, exhibitions, shows, animals, landscaping, and family fun. During this visit we made sure to get our last One Ocean show in, and we spent quite some time in the animal exhibits. Of course we also rode the park’s rides. That and a whole lot more in our Trip Report! Continue reading “SeaWorld San Diego – Trip Report July 2016”

Pony Express Closed Through July 24th
Pony Express at Knott’s Berry Farm closed mid-season for an unexpected reason. After its annual refurbishment in March of this year, when the trains and launch were maintained, the ride operated with just one train. Now both trains have returned but the ride won’t open ’til after the peak summer crowds, July 24th. Let’s look into what’s going on! Continue reading “Pony Express Closed Through July 24th”
Universal Studios Hollywood Update – July 1st 2016
Another sunny day in Southern California! It was time for some Universal Studios Hollywood again. It seemed like the park was anticipating big crowds today, luckily lines remained short and we had a wonderful time. Sadly the Walking Dead did not soft open today as planned, but we’ll be back with more Walking Dead stuff soon! Continue reading “Universal Studios Hollywood Update – July 1st 2016”

Python Plunge Opens at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles officially opened their newest slide complex today, the Python Plunge. The three new body slides are part of the Lizard Lagoon section of the park and offer great new family thrills. The three new slides join two older slides (that have been refurbished) to create a colorful new look for the entrance of the park, as this slide complex is located towards the very front. Let’s have a look, shall we? Continue reading “Python Plunge Opens at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor”
SeaWorld San Antonio – Trip Report
The third park we visited on our Texas trip was SeaWorld San Antonio! The park is greatly situated on elevated land and features a giant lake as its centerpiece. This park, unlike our local SeaWorld San Diego, has a thrill-ride collection in addition to stellar shows and awesome exhibits. The park felt well rounded and definitely not cramped as there was ample space between stadiums, exhibits, and rides. The park took us by surprise and was a very enjoyable place to visit. Join us as we take a look around the park!
Six Flags Fiesta Texas – Trip Report
The second park on our California Coaster Kings Texas trip was Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A wonderfully located Six Flags property in San Antonio that features an outstandingly awesome lineup of rides and shows. We had just one day to visit the park, but that full day was plenty of time to ride all the attractions and see some shows. The park features world renowned coasters like Iron Rattler, Superman Krypton Coaster and Batman: The Ride, as well as other awesome coasters like Road Runner Express and Poltergeist! Join us as we take a look around the park in this trip report!
Six Flags Over Texas – Trip Report
California Coaster Kings visited Six Flags Over Texas for the first time! Several team members planned a Texas Tour for the summer, and the original Six Flags property in Arlington was the first to be visited. We absolutely loved the park, and spent two full days in the humidity experiencing classic rides such as El Aserradero, the Runaway Mine Train and Shockwave, as well as newer intense experiences such as The New Texas Giant and Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast. Join us as we take a look around the park in this trip report! Continue reading “Six Flags Over Texas – Trip Report”
Six Flags Great Adventure – Trip Report
Our California Coaster Kings Correspondent Joseph visited Six Flags Great Adventure while other correspondents were visiting Texan parks. Below you’ll find his extensive Trip Report of his visit to the large East Coast Six Flags park!

The New GhostRider
GhostRider is back and it’s a woodie to fall in love with. The ride is butter smooth, lateral filled, unstoppable and features our favorite friend: airtime. It’s great to see this popular ride return to its original glory with brand new Millennium Flyer trains and a ride experience that feels out of control, but without breaking your back. Let’s take a look at what riding the new GhostRider is like! Continue reading “The New GhostRider”
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Update – June 3rd 2016
It’s been awhile since we’ve delivered a park update up here at the wonderful Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We’ve sure got an opinion on that so let’s get right into it. Continue reading “Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Update – June 3rd 2016”

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles Update – May 28th 2016
This may just be our very first Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Update that I didn’t combine with the Six Flags Magic Mountain Update. That being due to the fact that the park opened for the 2016 Season today and there’s quite some water slide construction to address. The Python Plunge slides will come to the water park later this season! Continue reading “Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles Update – May 28th 2016”

It’s Memorial Day Weekend, and that means show time at Six Flags Magic Mountain! The park’s line up of entertainment for the 2016 Season launched today and the park was quite crowded. The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom – Ride Review
Let’s talk Joker at Six flags Discovery Kingdom, shall we? To the surprise of some, Roar closed mid-August of 2015 to be turned into California’s second Rocky Mountain Construction Iron Horse coaster. The moment the word officially came out of this conversion, most instantly noted that RMC had never worked with a track layout, or structural layout, of a twisty GCI wooden coaster before, which promised a unique Hybrid Coaster experience. Did it live up to that promise? We’ll discuss that right here in our The Joker Ride Review! Continue reading “The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom – Ride Review”
