We took a trip to the lovely Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for the first time in weeks to provide an update for you guys. For better or worse, we had a very interesting and crowded day, but that just gives us more to talk about. Between the Latino Fest event, Rage of the Gargoyles/Kong, Joker and plenty else, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover let’s get going.

After yesterday’s announcement, and before four Northern California parks this weekend, I swung by Six Flags Magic Mountain to activate my 2017 Gold Pass and to get an update for our readers. There’s an incredible amount of Fright Fest preparation to cover, along with 2017-related things, and X2 and Apocalypse’s closures!
SeaWorld breaks ground on an exciting new attraction that will inspire guests to explore the depths of the oceans and take action to protect the amazing creatures who inhabit them. Ocean Explorer, which is scheduled to open in late spring of 2017 at SeaWorld San Diego, will feature multiple aquariums, exciting rides and digital technologies to engage park guests in an experience centered on exploration and adventure.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is adding a giant new attraction named Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth to their line-up. The park is adding a Giant Frisbee from Zamperla that will reach speeds of 70 MPH and swings riders 150 feet into the sky! It’ll look, and certainly feel, massive as you soar as high as the park’s tallest attractions!
Six Flags Magic Mountain, in partnership with Warner Bros., is introducing Justice League: Battle for Metropolis for the 2017 season. This state-of-the-art interactive game/dark ride will be the first of its kind, taking the Six Flags Dark Rides to a new level! This version of the award-winning Justice League: Battle for Metropolis ride will feature new technology, shooting targets, characters and scenes!
Jabbawockeez, the acclaimed, award-winning hip hop dance group, universally recognized as America’s best dance crew, returns to Universal Studios Hollywood for a new electrifying original series of performances, enhanced by spectacular multi-color laser projections and the addition of the first-ever female dancer, as part of this year’s “Halloween Horror Nights.”

I was down at Knott’s Berry Farm a few days ago for the Knott’s Scary Farm 2016 announcements, and enjoyed a few hours at the park prior to the event. It’s clear a lot of schools are back in session as the majority of the rides were walk-ons. In this update we’ll take a quick look around the park for the day, and where some Haunt attractions will soon be located!

Knott’s Berry Farm is excited to announce the second annual Coaster Campout night in support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Coaster Campout is an opportunity for guests to camp out for one night at Knott’s Berry Farm in the Park Pavilion Picnic Center while supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. 

Another few days have passed and we’re back at the Thrill Capital of the World: Six Flags Magic Mountain. Where there are two main attractions closed, Fright Fest preparations continue, and refurbishments around the park are plentiful. Oh, and there’s a huge Suicide Squad advertising presence, which makes sense since this year’s Fright Fest features a unique Suicide Squad Scare Zone! Let’s take a look!
Universal Studios Hollywood started ticket sales for their Halloween Horror Nights event! In addition to which, all mazes, the show of the event, and the mega-scare zone have been announced. The Santa Clara theme park “California’s Great America” announced that for the 2017 season, it will introduce Patriot, the first Floorless Coaster in the park’s 41-year history. Patriot will emerge from the soon to be retired Vortex coaster, the oldest Stand Up Coaster standing at its original location in the United States.
After a hectic roadtrip and black-out (dates) filled month, it was time for an action-packed day at Universal Studios Hollywood again. In this update we’ll see some Citywalk changes, Halloween Horror Nights preparation, changes at the Studios and more!
Knott’s Soak City has been subject to small changes over the past few years. These small changes were nothing compared to the park’s huge new 2017 additions. The park will be adding a total of seven new slides to their park’s line up including raft slides and ultra-thrilling drop slides. These slides will be found on two new towers the park will be adding. The Shore Break slide tower and The Wedge slide tower. Let’s take a look!
