Human Riders on TRON: Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom

TRON: Lightcycle Run, a highly anticipated new attraction at Magic Kingdom, has been testing practically nonstop for weeks. The new Vekoma coaster has undergone numerous test cycles, but so far we have only observed empty vehicles and those with test dummies. Nonetheless, we now have footage of actual riders. Hopefully this signifies that the ride will open sooner rather than later.

SeaWorld San Diego Wild Arctic Coaster Track Pieces on Site

SeaWorld San Diego closed the original Wild Arctic simulator on January 10, 2020 to make room for a new attraction. This new attraction was originally going to debut in 2021, however, was significantly delayed because of the pandemic. A few ride designs later, track has now appeared on site and land clearing is under way for the park’s newest roller coaster!

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces Exciting Event Lineup

Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed “Thrill Capital of the World,” today announced an exciting lineup of events and the introduction of the new Six Flags Annual Pass program. During a season that already includes the largest array

What to Expect at Marvel Avenger Campus at Walt Disney Studios in Paris

There’s no better thing than a brand-new Disney park themed land opening up. This is particularly true for Disneyland Paris’ neighboring park Walt Disney Studios that has always struggled with a smaller-than-usual attraction lineup. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Opens Rides Starting April 1st!

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the Thrill Capital of  Northern California, today announced plans to open the park with the complement of world class roller coasters, rides, and animals with a special exclusive preview for Members and  Season Pass holders, April 1 and 2, then opening to the general public on April 3, 2021. For the  first time since March of last year, the park will operate its renowned collection of thrilling rides  in accordance with state, county and local government guidelines. The park has safely hosted  guests for the animal-focused, Marine World Experience, since July of 2020. In accordance with  state and county reopening guidelines for theme parks, Six Flags will operate at reduced  attendance levels utilizing the existing reservation system. The park is also continuing the  implementation of extensive safety measures including several new advanced technology  systems to protect guests and employees. The plan, developed in consultation with infectious  disease experts, sets standards for executing at the highest levels of hygiene and social  distancing protocols. These procedures will be adjusted on an as-needed basis to ensure  compliance with state and county recommendations.

Ice Breaker – Sunset Testing Photos

While I wasn’t planning on visiting SeaWorld Orlando today, I swung by about 90 minutes prior to park closure to see if we could catch a glimpse of the new Premier Rides launch coaster testing. While Ice Breaker went through lots of different types of testing, it only navigated the full layout once during my trip. Luckily, I’ve got a couple of fun photos to share with you!

Possible SeaWorld Orlando “Project Penguin” Track Spotted at Ohio Manufacturing Plant

One of our awesome team members, Ian, spotted some B&M track at the Clermont Steel Fabricators Inc. plant in Ohio. Based on our recent findings of the corrections made to the SeaWorld Orlando “Project Penguin” permits, we have reason to believe some of this track may be for the new Surf Coaster coming to Orlando. VelociCoaster Marquee, Water Features and More! – Late January, 2021 Update

Hong Kong’s Ocean Park Dragon to be Among 7 Attractions to be Removed in Effort to Relaunch Park.

Hong Kong’s Ocean Park has received 5.4 billion Yuan from the Hong Kong government to revitalize the park and stabilize their income. The park is restructuring to a free admission model with upcharge attractions and experiences. The new project will provide several businesses access to the park and create a cultural experience zone that no longer reflects the usual theme park business model. This new business model is designed to compliment Disney’s struggling Hong Kong theme park . Unfortunately, this change comes with retirement of several beloved attractions and experiences including Dragon, the park’s Arrow looping coaster.
