Knott’s Berry Farm and Soak City Update – Late April 2017

Sean/McLaren: We swung by Knott’s Tuesday to see what was going on during this nice afternoon in Southern California, and to see if Boomerang deconstruction had progressed at all since its closing, after operations ended on April 23rd. Waterworld California Becomes Six Flags’ 20th property

GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — April, 27 2017 Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:SIX), the world’s largest regional theme park company, today announced it has entered into an agreement with EPR Properties, owner of Waterworld California, to operate the water park located in Concord, California. Waterworld California, formerly owned and operated by Six Flags, is Northern California’s largest water park and is located 18 miles southeast of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. California’s Great America Purchases 100% Renewable Energy from Silicon Valley Power to Cover Electricity Use

Silicon Valley Power (SVP) is pleased to announce that California’s Great America, Santa Clara’s 100-acre amusement park, will cover 100% of its electricity use with renewable energy through SVP’s Santa Clara Green Power program. Santa Clara Green Power is a renewable energy program that allows Santa Clara residents and businesses to purchase 100% solar and wind energy. Viper and Vekoma MK1212 Trains

Sean: As you may have read in our brand new Six Flags Over Georgia report, we were huge fans of Blue Hawk at the Southeast Six Flags park. Blue Hawk went through life as Kamikaze for two years before opening as Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia in 1991. For the 2016 season the ride has received a makeover with brand new MK1212 trains from Vekoma. The ride is now one of the best loopers we’ve ridden. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Update – Early April 2017

Jeremy: This week we ventured out to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to see what has been going on at the park lately, as well as to see if there is a glimpse of Wonder Woman in the making. We went to the park this last Friday, and there was quite a downpour of rain in the beginning of the day.
