Knott’s Berry Farm – New GhostRider and Ghost Town Opening Dates
Knott’s Berry Farm announced today that its celebration of the 75th anniversary of the historic old west Ghost Town will run May 27 through September 5. To mark 75 years of Ghost Town, Knott’s will reopen GhostRider, the longest, tallest, and fastest wooden roller coaster on the West Coast on May 27 following a complete restoration. Knott’s Boysenberry Festival 2016!
Celebrate Knott’s historic berry during Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, March 19 – April 3, in Ghost Town, the heart of the theme park. The 16-day food festival features over 70, one-of-a-kind boysenberry inspired fare, drinks and more, the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, plus live entertainment and fun the whole family will love! From sun up to sun down, the festival features dueling fiddlers, PEANUTS Party in the Park, vine dancing, live music, Jammin’ in the Dark (a nighttime dance party). Festivalgoers can also shop for the perfect handmade gift at dozens of craft vendors located in Ghost Town. The limited-time festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm. PINK Supreme Scream! – Knott’s for the Cure!
This Valentine’s Day week through March 18, Supreme Scream, visible for miles – towering over 312 feet in the air, will be transformed into a monumental beacon of hope as it is lit pink in honor of the third annual Knott’s for the Cure partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County. The brilliantly lit Supreme Scream will join the famous Calico Mine Ride, which rises more than seven stories high and currently glows pink in support of the partnership.Look at the awesome pictures below! Legacy of Arrow Documentary – Review
On Saturday January 23rd, several ACE Members/ Film makers premiered their newest work, a wonderful documentary telling the story of one of the most influential theme-park ride and rollercoaster manufacturers the world has ever seen, Arrow. On January 30th, a week later, the crew came down south to Six Flags Magic Mountain to show coaster-fans their work. I was there and must say it was wonderful! The 5 Best Coasters in California That Opened In The ’90s
The theme-park industry is always changing, every decade again record-breaking coasters push the limits of technology and that of riders in new innovative ways. Coasters become more massive, taller, faster, and longer by the years. A very important transition period in the coaster manufacturing industry was the 90’s, the usual coaster was well-established and the usual coasters were increased in size, new ways of designing them were invented, and new kinds of coasters made the rounds. For example Bolliger and Mabillard seperated from Intamin and created some coaster kinds the world hadn’t seen before, such as the Inverted Coaster. Knott’s Is Getting A Starbucks!
Knott’s Berry Farm announced today that it will open its first Starbucks location. The 935 square foot Starbucks store will open in March 2016 in the California MarketPlace, just outside the Park’s main entrance, and will offer Starbuck’s world class coffee drinks and entrees. MASS EFFECT: NEW EARTH – The New 4D Adventure at California’s Great America
California’s Great America has announced the name for their new 2016 attraction, Mass Effect: New Earth! Based on the popular Mass Effect video game franchise, The park will be partnering with EA (Electronic Arts) as well as Bioware (The games creators) to completely renovate the Action Theater into an awe inspiring 4D space adventure. The experience will involve cutting edge technology 4D effects, movement, incredible special effects, and most interestingly, live performance! It’s finally November and Knott’s Berry Farm just made a marvelous 2016 announcement. It’s Ghost Town’s 75th year, and Knott’s will be going big by changing up some of Ghost Town, and the classic Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant will be refurbished.
