Disneyland Resort Resort Update -November 9, 2018

Derrion: It may not be the most thrilling place in the world, but it does live up to its reputation as the happiest place on Earth for me. Disneyland is very therapeutic and keeps my inner child alive.  This was a great day to visit the parks because it was the first day of the Holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.  This won’t be the longest update but it was great to notice some of the changes going on now for the festive celebration.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – November 7th 2018

Sean: We’re back at Six Flags Magic Mountain where the park is quickly shifting between two of their seasonal events. Fright Fest just ended last week, but very few of that remains. With Holiday in the Park starting next week the park is slowly transforming into a winter wonderland. In this update we’ll also look at some other changes and operations around the park!

Universal Studios Hollywood Update- November 2nd 2018

Derrion: Hello coaster royalty! I have been eager to get back to Universal Studios Hollywood as a guest after my recent impromptu trip to the Universal Orlando Resort for the first time. Universal Studios Orlando was a larger park but I noticed the quality and aesthetics of the buildings here at Universal Studios Hollywood were less outdated and more welcoming. Rather than focus on the positives and negatives of both Universal parks, this update will include recent updates and changes to Universal Studios Hollywood with a hint of contrast between the two Universal parks.

Toshimaen

Alexander: The seemingly countless amusement parks of the greater Tokyo area come in all shapes and sizes – most are small, but several are surprisingly big once you’re inside (Tobu Zoo), and some are utterly massive (DisneySea, Yomiuriland). Perhaps the biggest small park in Tokyo (or maybe the smallest big park) is Toshimaen?

SEAWORLD’S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION HAS SO MUCH TO ‘SEA’ AND DO

Laughter rings out at Sea Lion and Otter Amphitheater as California sea lions Clyde and Seamore put on their own hilarious holiday TV special; playful dolphins jump and splash, celebrating the season with a tropical twist in the Dolphin Island Christmas show; the Christmas story is told from a new point of view, through the eyes of the animals, in SeaWorld’s live nativity musical performed under the stars; families gather to share nostalgic moments with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and his friends; more than a million holiday lights shine brightly at SeaWorld, including the park’s iconic 320-foot Skytower Tree of Lights at the center of it all; and the big guy himself listens carefully to the Christmas wishes of little ones at Santa’s Christmas Village. New for 2018 is Rudolph’s Movie Experience performed daily and special performances of the 3 Kings Procession (Jan. 1–6 only). Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – October 31st 2018

Sean: Fright Fest ended just days ago but six Flags Magic Mountain is wasting no time preparing for this year’s Holiday in the Park. This is also the time that the park has now closed Cyclone Bay access as West Coast Racers construction will really get started. We’ll be looking at that, as well as current ride closures and operations in this update! Continue reading “Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – October 31st 2018”

Knott’s Berry Farm Update – October 30th 2018

Sean: Since we had a few days off we decided to hang out at some of SoCal’s parks this week. We were certainly in the mood for Montezooma’s Revenge and some fries at Knott’s Berry Farm, the park we hung out at first! In today’s Knott’s Berry Farm Update we take a look at our time at the park and the detailed Big Foot Rapids refurbishment, rumored to be the new Knott’s attraction! Hong Kong Disneyland

Sean: The last Disney resort I had yet to visit was Hong Kong Disneyland. It had been a wild 9 months in which we visited all Disney parks around the world, and it ended with the one I knew the least about, the one that was always overshadowed by the more significant Disney parks. Upon visiting Hong Kong Disneyland it became clear why I, and many others, overlook this park. The park’s young age yet old feel has both its advantages and disadvantages. Port of Nagoya Aquarium

Sean: This will likely be the least conventional post on the website so far. Unlike every other post, this will not be about a theme park nor a place that features a roller coaster. Instead, this report is about one of our favorite aquariums. The Port of Nagoya (Public) Aquarium is a combination of a state-of-the-art marine life park/stadium and a classic aquarium! You know we love SeaWorld, this is as close as we got in Japan! Continue reading “Port of Nagoya Aquarium”
