Quicksilver Express is one of the often forgotten coasters in California, and being at a park the size of Gilroy Gardens that’s almost understandable. Quicksilver express however is a gem, and very much worth more discussion. This Morgan mine train through the beautiful backwoods of Gilroy Gardens was a whole lot of fun, and it’d be a shame if we didn’t give it some deserved recognition, so enjoy the following Ride Review of Quicksilver Express!

San Diego Zoo Adventures!
During a recent trip to San Diego, we had the opportunity to visit the acclaimed San Diego Zoo. Although this type of content isn’t exactly in our wheelhouse, we were so impressed by our visit that we couldn’t help but write the following special. The San Diego Zoo is regarded as the best in the country in both their unique and extensive collection of animals as well as their conservation and breeding efforts. The San Diego Zoo also revolutionized the world of zoos and aquariums by becoming the first zoo to introduce naturalistic habitats, meaning every exhibit is tailored specifically to mimic the real habitats of the animals. The result today is a zoo with spectacular habitats, amazing animals and gorgeous landscaping. And since this is California Coaster Kings, we’ll be touching on the hints of theme park traits sprinkled throughout this wonderful zoo. So please enjoy the following article on the one and only San Diego Zoo. Continue reading “San Diego Zoo Adventures!”

S&S 4D Free Spin perfect for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has just come off the back of a big investment, and even better hit with The Joker. With that, we understand another coaster is most likely not coming in the next year or two. Despite all this, we had a chance to check out Batman: The Ride, the S&S 4D Free Spin model at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and boy were we big fans. We loved the ride as a whole, but more than anything we noticed just how well such a ride would fit at our very own Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

SeaWorld San Antonio – Trip Report
The third park we visited on our Texas trip was SeaWorld San Antonio! The park is greatly situated on elevated land and features a giant lake as its centerpiece. This park, unlike our local SeaWorld San Diego, has a thrill-ride collection in addition to stellar shows and awesome exhibits. The park felt well rounded and definitely not cramped as there was ample space between stadiums, exhibits, and rides. The park took us by surprise and was a very enjoyable place to visit. Join us as we take a look around the park!
Six Flags Fiesta Texas – Trip Report
The second park on our California Coaster Kings Texas trip was Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A wonderfully located Six Flags property in San Antonio that features an outstandingly awesome lineup of rides and shows. We had just one day to visit the park, but that full day was plenty of time to ride all the attractions and see some shows. The park features world renowned coasters like Iron Rattler, Superman Krypton Coaster and Batman: The Ride, as well as other awesome coasters like Road Runner Express and Poltergeist! Join us as we take a look around the park in this trip report!
Six Flags Over Texas – Trip Report
California Coaster Kings visited Six Flags Over Texas for the first time! Several team members planned a Texas Tour for the summer, and the original Six Flags property in Arlington was the first to be visited. We absolutely loved the park, and spent two full days in the humidity experiencing classic rides such as El Aserradero, the Runaway Mine Train and Shockwave, as well as newer intense experiences such as The New Texas Giant and Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast. Join us as we take a look around the park in this trip report! Continue reading “Six Flags Over Texas – Trip Report”
