Byron: Waterworld Concord, which was recently reacquired by Six Flags will be adding a new attraction in 2018 along with the rest of the Six Flags parks. Their new water play area, Splashwater Island, marks the largest addition this decade. For a water park, the promise from Six Flags of a new addition each year should mean some pretty significant change, as even small investments capital wise carry a lot of weight. Splashwater Island Coming to Waterworld Concord in 2018!
Sean: Six Flags has recently acquired Waterworld California. The nearest Six Flags Park is about 20 minutes away, which is Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has now announced a new pass that allows pass holders to visit both parks unlimited this season! The Ride & Slide Pass. 
Sean: Due to increasing changes in all of our schedules it’s been a while since we brought you a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Update, but in the midst of Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth construction it was a great time to be back at the park. The weather was cooperative and we always love getting on some of our favorite coasters… if they’re open… Let’s take a look at Wonder Woman construction, along with operations and other changes at the park! 
Jeremy: This week we ventured out to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to see what has been going on at the park lately, as well as to see if there is a glimpse of Wonder Woman in the making. We went to the park this last Friday, and there was quite a downpour of rain in the beginning of the day. To our surprise though, most everything was running! VALENCIA, Calif. — February 8, 2017 — Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, (NYSE:SIX) and Samsung Electronics America, Inc., the “Official Technology Partner” of the world’s largest regional theme park company, today announced its renewed collaboration on virtual reality roller coasters with the unveiling of a bold, innovative twist on the experience at Six Flags parks. Last spring, the two companies joined forces to introduce North America’s first Virtual Reality (VR) Roller Coasters using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus, and now in 2017— for the first time ever, riders will be offered a one-of-a-kind mixed reality experience that only Six Flags can deliver. Another world’s first—complex gameplay, where riders make key decisions during the course of the ride that can affect their scoring at the end. 
We took a small break after a year of constant construction updates, attraction openings, backstage tours, park updates, trip reports, out of state trips, and of course Halloween and Holiday events. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Fright Fest has opened for its 2016 run, and of course I was there to experience all mazes! This year’s line-up features six mazes, including the brand new Dark Oaks Mortuary . In addition, returning mazes like our favorite CarnEVIL welcomed me back this year as well. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is adding a giant new attraction named Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth to their line-up. The park is adding a Giant Frisbee from Zamperla that will reach speeds of 70 MPH and swings riders 150 feet into the sky! It’ll look, and certainly feel, massive as you soar as high as the park’s tallest attractions!
