Pony Express Closed Through July 24th
Pony Express at Knott’s Berry Farm closed mid-season for an unexpected reason. After its annual refurbishment in March of this year, when the trains and launch were maintained, the ride operated with just one train. Six Flags Fiesta Texas – Trip Report
The second park on our California Coaster Kings Texas trip was Six Flags Fiesta Texas. A wonderfully located Six Flags property in San Antonio that features an outstandingly awesome lineup of rides and shows. We had just one day to visit the park, but that full day was plenty of time to ride all the attractions and see some shows. The park features world renowned coasters like Iron Rattler, Superman Krypton Coaster and Batman: The Ride, as well as other awesome coasters like Road Runner Express and Poltergeist! Python Plunge Opening Date!
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles’ newest slide complex ‘Python Plunge’ is opening this Thursday, June 30th! The slide complex features three new body slides with significantly better layouts than the previous slides in the spot did. They’re part of a newly refurbished Lizard Lagoon. Taste of Orleans
California’s Great America has announced the brand new event, the Taste Of Orleans! The festival will take place the weekends of July 23-24 and 30-31 in the park’s Orleans Place area. Taste of Orleans will feature live Cajun, Jazz and Mardi Gras style music, regional food delicacies and drink and will be open to all Great America guests. The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom – Ride Review
Let’s talk Joker at Six flags Discovery Kingdom, shall we? To the surprise of some, Roar closed mid-August of 2015 to be turned into California’s second Rocky Mountain Construction Iron Horse coaster. The moment the word officially came out of this conversion, most instantly noted that RMC had never worked with a track layout, or structural layout, of a twisty GCI wooden coaster before, which promised a unique Hybrid Coaster experience. SeaWorld® San Diego’s Magic Weekends takes center stage at the park April 2–May 1, unveiling some of the most hypnotizing performances that have left children and adults awestruck for centuries!
During the April 2–3 weekend, reality TV magic star Steve Wyrick will have guests gasping in amazement with his motorcycle vanish and virtual reality sawing; notable “America’s Got Talent” standout Michael Grasso will amp the adrenaline up with his dynamic presence and unbelievable skills April 9–10; magician David Thomas will bring the “World of Magic” show and Las Vegas-style illusions to guests April 16–17; guests will not want to miss illusionist Rick Thomas’ intriguing and innovative illusions such as the slicer and “Flatin Latin” April 23–24; and magician Michael Turco, who has been featured on “Masters of Illusion,” will leave the audience captivated April 30–May 1. All shows will be performed live at SeaWorld’s Mission Bay Theater. Performance times will be listed on the park map.
Personal New Revolution Tour!
Since I was unable to attend the actual New Revolution tour on Thursday, Six Flags Magic Mountain PR was incredibly kind to offer me a personal tour of The New Revolution, the day after! Luckily a lot can change in a day, so I may have a few things in this report you haven’t seen before. The ride started testing Thursday night, and is testing as I’m writing this today (Saturday). PINK Supreme Scream! – Knott’s for the Cure!
This Valentine’s Day week through March 18, Supreme Scream, visible for miles – towering over 312 feet in the air, will be transformed into a monumental beacon of hope as it is lit pink in honor of the third annual Knott’s for the Cure partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County.
