Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles’ newest slide complex ‘Python Plunge’ is opening this Thursday, June 30th! The slide complex features three new body slides with significantly better layouts than the previous slides in the spot did. They’re part of a newly refurbished Lizard Lagoon. California Coaster Kings visited Six Flags Over Texas for the first time! Several team members planned a Texas Tour for the summer, and the original Six Flags property in Arlington was the first to be visited. We absolutely loved the park, and spent two full days in the humidity experiencing classic rides such as El Aserradero, the Runaway Mine Train and Shockwave, as well as newer intense experiences such as The New Texas Giant and Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast. Join us as we take a look around the park in this trip report!
Our California Coaster Kings Correspondent Joseph visited Six Flags Great Adventure while other correspondents were visiting Texan parks. Below you’ll find his extensive Trip Report of his visit to the large East Coast Six Flags park! 
California is home to so many fantastic coasters, we are lucky to live in a state with such a wide variety of high quality attractions. Having the great collection that we do, there are bound to be a few elements or moments that strike a chord with each individual, and that is what we are here to talk about. Not necessarily the best coaster elements in the state, but rather those that Sean and Byron have the most affinity for personally. These elements deliver memorable and unique experiences for us, and thus are our personal favorite elements in the state. 
It was wonderful to spend a day at California’s largest water park! Raging Waters Los Angeles recently changed its name from the previous Raging Water San Dimas name, and added the high-tech water coaster slide Aqua Rocket last year! The park is beautifully situated on a hill side surrounded by nature, offering a very unique park layout, slide collection, and shade-filled environment for a day of fun. 
Time for another Six Flags Magic Mountain Update! With Hurricane Harbor thrown in this time. There are a few minor changes around Six Flags Magic Mountain, including a new ad-wrap for Viper and Superman Escape from Krypton that’s operating the red train. But more interestingly… the new Python Plunge slide collection at Hurricane Harbor that looks AWESOME! 
GhostRider is back and it’s a woodie to fall in love with. The ride is butter smooth, lateral filled, unstoppable and features our favorite friend: airtime. It’s great to see this popular ride return to its original glory with brand new Millennium Flyer trains and a ride experience that feels out of control, but without breaking your back. Let’s take a look at what riding the new GhostRider is like!

It’s been awhile since we’ve delivered a park update up here at the wonderful Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. There’s been a lot of change taking place at the park to kick off the summer season, and in addition, The Joker has been opened… but not without technical issues. We’ve sure got an opinion on that so let’s get right into it. 
It was time for a nice Knott’s Berry Farm visit before the summer crowds… and what better day to visit Knott’s Berry Farm than the day GhostRider is soft opening minutes before the park closes? In today’s update we’ll take a look around the park. Some ride operations, the finished repaint of Jaguar!, the Ghost Town construction, and of course… the newly refurbished wonder-woodie… GHOSTRIDER! 
This may just be our very first Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Update that I didn’t combine with the Six Flags Magic Mountain Update. That being due to the fact that the park opened for the 2016 Season today and there’s quite some water slide construction to address. The Python Plunge slides will come to the water park later this season! 
It’s Memorial Day Weekend, and that means show time at Six Flags Magic Mountain! The park’s line up of entertainment for the 2016 Season launched today and the park was quite crowded. Nonetheless, the park handled the crowds wonderfully! In addition, the separately ticketed Hurricane Harbor water park opened for the 2016 season next door. In this update we’ll take a look around the park and the entertainment line up for this season! 
We just launched our review of Northern California’s newest coaster, The Joker. But with two RMCs in the state, an inevitable question was raised…The question has been asked by many readers and followers on our Social Media platforms and around the state. Which Californian Rocky Mountain Construction Hybrid Coaster is better? The longest Hybrid Coaster on earth, or the newest? Twisted Colossus or The Joker? Let us dive into that… 
Let’s talk Joker at Six flags Discovery Kingdom, shall we? To the surprise of some, Roar closed mid-August of 2015 to be turned into California’s second Rocky Mountain Construction Iron Horse coaster. The moment the word officially came out of this conversion, most instantly noted that RMC had never worked with a track layout, or structural layout, of a twisty GCI wooden coaster before, which promised a unique Hybrid Coaster experience. Did it live up to that promise? We’ll discuss that right here in our The Joker Ride Review! 
Some quick industry news here! Knott’s Berry Farm just announced that the park has hired a new General Manager to replace Raffi Kaprelyan.
After months of updates and closely following along with construction of California’s newest and highly anticipated roller-coaster, The Joker, it was finally time to experience it for ourselves during the Media Day! This report looks mainly at the Media Day, we’re currently also working on a very detailed Ride Review, which will launch soon! – For those with Six Flags Season Passes, you may ride the Joker May 27th and 28th, more details below! 
Summer is right around the corner and there seem to be a few nice changes around Universal Studios Hollywood before the summer crowds hit. It was a very nice averagely crowded Friday with nice operating hours, so I made sure to spend some time at the park today. In today’s update we’ll look at a bunch of Jurassic Park related changes at the park and Studio Tour, as well as maze preparations for Halloween Horror Nights, the new Walking Dead Attraction, and more!
