Winterfest at California’s Great America
Knott’s Berry Farm’s popular Knott’s Merry Farm event has opened for the 2016 Season and we were there to celebrate! Though it was a rainy day, the event is filled with plenty of entertainment, themed areas, and of course rides for an awesome and merry day at the park! 
Six Flags Magic Mountain opened their huge Holiday in the Park event for the season and this year we find two new themed areas, a new show and an awesome Virtual Reality experience on The New Revolution. The Holiday event features one of the West Coast’s largest light shows, millions of lights, limited-time-only food, characters, and all your favorite coasters, of course. 
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will be hosting a variety of special events in the coming months as they often do around this time of year. Santa Cruz locals enjoyed Hot Rods at the Beach and the Sea Glass and Open Art Festival, and can look forward to Holiday Train Rides, and the Boardwalk Holiday Bash.  These events will be taking place during limited operation, with operation of major rides and attractions on weekends only. 
It’s the most wonderful time of the year at The Entertainment Capital of L.A.SM as Universal Studios Hollywood™ and Universal CityWalk® deck the halls for a wintry calendar of cool holiday activities and scrumptious treats that families and friends far and wide can enjoy. 
We’ve rated and reviewed many coasters and rides over the last few years, and although we’re usually not fans of listing/ranking rides or parks, we do create an annual California TOP 50! You might, and likely will, disagree, and that’s totally fine! That’s what this TOP 50 is all about! Of the many rides in the state, we selected the 50 we think are best! After a few busy weeks it was time for a big Six Flags Magic Mountain Update again! Now Fright Fest has ended and Holiday in the Park is just two weeks away, there’s quite a bit to talk about and look at in this update!

Knott’s Berry Farm just released more information regarding their 2017 season, which doesn’t only include the huge Knott’s Soak City expansion, but also the extension of the Boysenberry Festival, the return of Ghost Town Alive!, a new restaurant, and a brand new one-of-a-kind (in California) Top Scan attraction named “Sol Spin”. 
WinterFest, the brand new holiday event at California’s Great America, is just around the corner. With the new information on the event that we received, we thought we would take this opportunity to outline the details of the event, give our thoughts, and gear everyone up for California’s newest holiday event!

With all the Halloween events going on most of the recent coverage was focused on just that, but since I’m at Six Flags Magic Mountain frequently, I decided to create an update during today’s trip. We’ll be looking at some Fright Fest related seasonal offers as well as some operations and changes around the park! 
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s Fright Fest has opened for its 2016 run, and of course I was there to experience all mazes! This year’s line-up features six mazes, including the brand new Dark Oaks Mortuary . In addition, returning mazes like our favorite CarnEVIL welcomed me back this year as well.
