Freddy Krueger. Jason Voorhees. Leatherface. Michael Myers. The four most terrifying names in horror come together at this year’s “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood as the silver screen’s extreme serial killers bleed into a trio of all-new slasher-themed mazes, beginning Friday, September 16, 2016. We were back at one of our favorite parks in the state (or anywhere really), SeaWorld San Diego! The park that perfectly combines rides, exhibitions, shows, animals, landscaping, and family fun. During this visit we made sure to get our last One Ocean show in, and we spent quite some time in the animal exhibits. Of course we also rode the park’s rides. That and a whole lot more in our Trip Report! Continue reading “SeaWorld San Diego – Trip Report July 2016”
Yesterday, we got a chance to visit SeaWorld San Diego, and got a chance to check out the all new Summer Vibes Show; Gazillion Bubbles. This show, housed in the Mission Bay Theater, featured Guinness World Record holding bubble artist Danny Yang. “World record holding bubble artist?” you ask. Well Danny and his family hold the record for world’s largest bubble (156 ft long) and most people fit into a bubble (over 100).
We recently visited a coaster that is usually closed when we pass by. It’s one of the tallest and largest coasters on earth, but it is not often discussed. We took a drive out through the middle-of-nowhere to finally get on Desperado, and we loved it! Check out our review of the ride and look at the big hyper coaster in this article! Continue reading “Desperado at Buffalo Bill’s”
Alastair: It’s what Europe has been waiting for since 2013, when the incredible RMC topper-track coaster “Outlaw Run” opened at Silver Dollar City in the US – finally, an RMC on this side of the Atlantic! Last week we visited Kolmården Wildlife Park in southern Sweden to try out this latest wooden monstrosity; Wildfire. Continue reading “Ride Review: Wildfire – Kolmården Wildlife Park”
Alex: I went to Tibidabo in Barcelona today to try their newest ride, the rethemed “L’Embruixabruixes”. This ride is the oldest attraction at the park, and last year it turned a 100 years old. With the last renovation being 11 years ago it was time for an update! Continue reading “Ride Review: L’Embruixabruixes – Tibidabo”
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has just come off the back of a big investment, and even better hit with The Joker. With that, we understand another coaster is most likely not coming in the next year or two. Despite all this, we had a chance to check out Batman: The Ride, the S&S 4D Free Spin model at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and boy were we big fans. We loved the ride as a whole, but more than anything we noticed just how well such a ride would fit at our very own Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
It’s only been a few days, but by now most of our readers know we spend quite some time at Six Flags Magic Mountain. We’re back with a quick update, discussing Tidal Wave, Flash Pass, new Goliath advertisements, Apocalypse, and some more! 😀 Continue reading “Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – July 8th 2016”

Pony Express at Knott’s Berry Farm closed mid-season for an unexpected reason. After its annual refurbishment in March of this year, when the trains and launch were maintained, the ride operated with just one train. Now both trains have returned but the ride won’t open ’til after the peak summer crowds, July 24th. Let’s look into what’s going on! Continue reading “Pony Express Closed Through July 24th”
Another sunny day in Southern California! It was time for some Universal Studios Hollywood again. It seemed like the park was anticipating big crowds today, luckily lines remained short and we had a wonderful time. Sadly the Walking Dead did not soft open today as planned, but we’ll be back with more Walking Dead stuff soon! Continue reading “Universal Studios Hollywood Update – July 1st 2016”
