Universal Studios Hollywood Update – April 29th 2016
After a very large update last week, this week brings us an update that’s a bit easier to chew on. The park was busy as ever this weekend, which, of course, meant that lines were long. Unfortunately, two of the park’s signature attractions are down for maintenance/refurbishments, which doesn’t bode well for the crowds at other popular attractions. However, it’s always good to have work being done, making the park a more enjoyable place! Let’s get started, and check out this week’s progress at Knott’s Berry Farm!
We were lucky enough to have both our Northern and Southern California members in attendance for today’s visit to California’s Great America. With Mass Effect: New Earth on the horizon, as well as many other changes around the park we both had plenty to cover. Please enjoy the following update! 
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom invited multiple websites and media outlets to a Joker construction tour at the park. Of course we were there. After the many construction updates we’ve brought you guys over the past few months, it was great to take another behind-the-scenes look at California’s newest coaster. Below you’ll find a multitude of awesome shots and exclusive information regarding this new RMC masterpiece! 
The New Revolution has officially opened at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and of course California Coaster Kings was there for the wonderful moment! The official opening included an opening ceremony launching the newly made over ride, with music, special guests, and of course pyro. Here’s a quick look at today’s event! 
It’s been some time since our last Six Flags Discovery Kingdom update, but we are happy to be back providing coverage from such a wonderful park besides our Joker Updates. It was a beautiful day, with quite crowded as a result. A lot of change has occurred during our brief hiatus, so here we are to tell you all about it. 
With spring in full swing here in Buena Park, I figured it’d be a great time to swing by Knott’s Berry Farm! Luckily I was able to beat some of the crowds this morning, because by noon, most of the signature attractions had wait times of at least an hour! There are definitely some interesting changes around the Farm this week, so let’s check them out in the park update below!
Never a dull moment in California, our 3rd update this weekend is from Six Flags Magic Mountain! Where 2017 construction has begun, Jet Stream has reopened, Grad Nite preparation is in full swing, there are some more New Revolution changes, and landscaping changes! Let’s enjoy this wonderful weather and dive right into today’s new Six Flags Magic Mountain Update! 
We’re in the home stretch ladies in gentlemen, we really are. The Joker’s construction process has been accelerated dramatically, and there are only one or two elements left to install on the entire ride. As the physical construction becomes closer and closer to being finished, it’s hard not to begin anticipating what is sure to be one of the best in our lovely state, The Joker. 
Now the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially opened, and I had a free day, of course I made my way out to Universal Studios Hollywood again, as for some reason I simply can not get enough of Forbidden Journey. And I’m sure some of you know exactly why, and how awesome that ride is… In addition, I took some pictures around the park to create a quick park update, which is found below! 
It’s been exactly one week since the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood opened, and what better throwback article to throw your way than one that looks at the past two and a half years of construction. The amazing theme park experience costed a whopping $1.6 Billion to construct and sure was impressive to see during construction. Let’s have a look, shall we? 
It was time for a Six Flags Magic Mountain visit again, and even though the weather was weird (as you will see in the pictures) I had a fun quick trip, and the crowds were very mild. In today’s update we’ll be looking at several changes around the park, new ads regarding The New Revolution and the All Season Flash Pass, tracer lights around the loop of The New Revolution, the Action Theater area, and a whole lot more! 
In California we have a myriad of beautiful looking coasters all across the state. The colors a coaster wears can solidify its identity as a ride, make it stand out among an otherwise busy skyline, or just make a coaster look gorgeous. Because we are so fortunate to have so many beautiful coasters, we thought it was a wonderful idea to highlight some of the best looking ones. We’re only a few days away from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening here at Universal Studios Hollywood, we had to check out the last technical rehearsals of course. Here’s a little update from our visit to the park this weekend, including potter sight-lines, back lot construction, new LudoBird on CityWalk, and other changes around the park! WE ALSO INCLUDED IMPORTANT OPENING DAY INFORMATION.
It was a wonderful day out at Six Flags Magic Mountain, nice Spring weather before the crushing summer heat. Surprisingly the park wasn’t too busy today. The crowds seemed to disappear around 6PM allowing for marathon-rides on several of the park’s bigger coasters. There are several changes around the park, including the new Full Throttle light package, and the new slides that are coming to Hurricane Harbor and all the juicy details surrounding them. 
As The Joker’s construction progresses, it is becoming more and more clear what the final product will look like. Our 
California’s Great America has finally reopened for the 2016 season, and we Northern Californian coaster enthusiasts couldn’t be more excited. Although, there was less fanfare than there has been on previous opening days, it was great to be back at the park nonetheless, and of course, we’re here to tell you all about it. 
Six Flags Magic Mountain hosted a Media Event for The New Revolution today, and it was beyond marvelous to ride this lovely coaster again, and without the painful OTSRs! Not to forget we also experienced The New Revolution VR (Virtual Reality) experience. Join us as we take a look around the new station, entrance, and line, as well as in-depth discuss the new trains and VR experience! (Including videos).
