Floorless Ninja: How Vekoma Trains Could Elevate the Blackbelt of Coasters
Alexander: Here at CCK, we love Ninja. It’s one of our favorite coasters in California, and a must-ride on every visit to Magic Mountain.
We are also huge Arrow Dynamics fans in general and are positively enamored with Arrow Suspended coasters. The 5 Arrow Suspended coasters still in operation are my favorite coasters at their respective parks (yes, even Cedar Point’s Iron Dragon)

Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest 2017 – Scare Zone Reviews
Sean: Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest is back for another big year of haunting. In the past years they have had a lot of Scare Zones, they toned it down a bit to just six this year. Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest has been one of the few events that has always impressed me with their Scare Zones, and unlike separately ticketed events, much relies on their Scare Zones. Let’s take a look at this year’s returning Scare Zones, and the new Damned ‘N Disguise. Continue reading “Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest 2017 – Scare Zone Reviews”

Knott’s Berry Farm Update – October 11th 2017
Sean: We stopped by the Farm for a few hours to get some rides in on Montezooma’s Revenge, and of course ride several other favorites. Or perhaps I was subconsciously dying to get some Boysenberry soft serve. Either way, I composed a little update that features… HANGTIME CONSTRUCTION! Continue reading “Knott’s Berry Farm Update – October 11th 2017”
Knott’s Scary Farm 2017 – Scare Zone Reviews
Sean/Zach: Knott’s Scary Farm is easily our favorite haunt event, and that’s mainly due to the impressive collection of original and unique mazes that deliver experiences other events can hardly live up to. Being the oldest halloween event in the state, Knott’s Scary Farm knows what it takes to put an event together, which all started with the infamous Ghost Town Streets. Though we always find the mazes to deliver better than the Scare Zones at the event (like most events), this year the Scare Zones have been the best we have yet seen at the event! Continue reading “Knott’s Scary Farm 2017 – Scare Zone Reviews”
Como Town & Daytona Beach Amusements – CCCK Layover Adventures
Alexander: Being a flight attendant has many perks, not the least of which is getting paid to go places that happen to have roller coasters nearby!
My recent layovers to Minneapolis and Daytona Beach were fruitful in the credit department. Two new parks, two new coasters!

Disneyland Railroad Update
Alexander: Sean and I like to go to Disneyland on a monthly basis to see what’s going on at The Happiest Place On Earth. Never a dull moment at the big D!
The Disneyland Railroad is finally open again, and things have changed quite a bit! Still as great a ride as ever, though; perhaps even better now!
The 5 Best Coaster Finales in California
Sean: Some coasters have a very uneventful ending, some coasters have endings that perfectly compliment the ride experience, and then there are coasters that have an ending that simply stands out and adds a final sweet kiss to your ride experience. These coasters simply wouldn’t be as awesome if they didn’t have an awesome finale. Let’s look at the 5 best coaster finales in California! Continue reading “The 5 Best Coaster Finales in California”
Knott’s Scary Farm 2017 – Maze Ratings and Reviews
Sean: Knott’s Scary Farm is back and it is better than ever! This year’s lineup of amazing mazes is seeing some of Knott’s best work and there isn’t a single maze that felt weak. The best mazes of the past few years have returned, and this year’s new mazes are unique and solid additions. Let’s get to rating and reviewing them! Halloween Horror Nights 2017
Chad: This year brought some interesting mazes.
I had the unbelievable experience of trying out the RIP Experience. And it was worth it. The price is a very steep one, but with a MASSIVE buffet, two free beers (if you are over 21 years of age), unlimited front of the line for everything in the park and free valet, it was not too bad. County Fairs of SoCal: Orange County Fair & Ventura County Fair
Alexander: State Fair and County Fair season is a great time to be a coaster enthusiast; lots of opportunities for new credits pop up in places that wouldn’t otherwise play host to a roller coaster, let alone three or four.
Southern California is no stranger to numerous coasters, but during late summer/early fall, several traveling credits take up temporary residence. Today we’re visiting two of California’s largest county fairs, The Orange County Fair and the Ventura County Fair.
