Waterworld Concord’s Diablo Fall Closing for Good at the End of the 2017 Season

Waterworld Concord will be closing the Diablo Falls water slides to make room for future expansion. This season is the Last chance to ride this summer classic


CONCORD, Calif. — September 25, 2017 — Diablo Falls, one of the original water rides at Waterworld Concord, Northern California’s premier waterpark, is being removed at the end of the 2017 summer season to make room for the park’s newest attraction—Splashwater Island.

“Splashwater Island is a thrilling and innovative new addition to the water park with more than 100 wet and wild water play features for the entire family,” said Park President of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Waterworld Concord, Don McCoy. “This colossal, multi-level play structure is the perfect complement to our existing lineup of rides and attractions and will become an instant favorite among guests of all ages.” Since Diablo Falls first opened in 1996, hundreds of thousands of riders have enjoyed this thrilling six-foot free-fall water slide experience. On Sunday, October 8, 2017, visitors to the park can experience the attraction one last time.
