The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will be hosting a variety of special events in the coming months as they often do around this time of year. Santa Cruz locals enjoyed Hot Rods at the Beach and the Sea Glass and Open Art Festival, and can look forward to Holiday Train Rides, and the Boardwalk Holiday Bash. These events will be taking place during limited operation, with operation of major rides and attractions on weekends only.
Hot Rods at the Beach and the Sea Glass and Open Art Festival both took place this past weekend. Hot Rods at the Beach was a massive car show presented by The Santa Cruz Police Officer’s Association featuring a variety of hot rods, street rods, vintage, muscle, custom and classic cars plus a fund-raising raffle and pancake breakfast to raise money. The Sea Glass and Ocean Art Festival gave guest who paid the five dollar admission a chance to shop for unique sea glass jewelry and gifts from more than 40 artists and learn more about collecting sea glass along our coast
Regarding the holiday events, the Boardwalk tradition of Holiday Train Rides continues. From November 18-December 23, plus December 29, families will be able to enjoy their journey to the North Pole on the cozy THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride, or sing your way through town on Roaring Camp’s sparkling Holiday Lights Train. Guests who celebrate Chanukah can also enjoy the experience with the Roaring Camp Chanukah Train. On December 9th only, the Boardwalk will also hosting the Boardwalk Holiday Bash. This small business holiday party will include a Dinner buffet plus arcade games, DJ entertainment, photo booths, airbrush tattoo, and lots of Boardwalk fun.
