Another sunny day in Southern California! It was time for some Universal Studios Hollywood again. It seemed like the park was anticipating big crowds today, luckily lines remained short and we had a wonderful time. Sadly the Walking Dead did not soft open today as planned, but we’ll be back with more Walking Dead stuff soon!
Summer is right around the corner and there seem to be a few nice changes around Universal Studios Hollywood before the summer crowds hit. It was a very nice averagely crowded Friday with nice operating hours, so I made sure to spend some time at the park today. In today’s update we’ll look at a bunch of Jurassic Park related changes at the park and Studio Tour, as well as maze preparations for Halloween Horror Nights, the new Walking Dead Attraction, and more!
I was in need of another Harry Potter filled day at Universal Studios Hollywood! And I sure wasn’t the only one, as some of the heaviest weekday crowds (since the opening of the new land) joined me. There’s not too much to update on when it comes to the park in general, so there’s a sweet short update ahead, which includes a look at a FULL Forbidden Journey queue through the dark forest!
Now the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially opened, and I had a free day, of course I made my way out to Universal Studios Hollywood again, as for some reason I simply can not get enough of Forbidden Journey. And I’m sure some of you know exactly why, and how awesome that ride is… In addition, I took some pictures around the park to create a quick park update, which is found below!
It’s been exactly one week since the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood opened, and what better throwback article to throw your way than one that looks at the past two and a half years of construction. The amazing theme park experience costed a whopping $1.6 Billion to construct and sure was impressive to see during construction. Let’s have a look, shall we?
We’re only a few days away from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening here at Universal Studios Hollywood, we had to check out the last technical rehearsals of course. Here’s a little update from our visit to the park this weekend, including potter sight-lines, back lot construction, new LudoBird on CityWalk, and other changes around the park! WE ALSO INCLUDED IMPORTANT OPENING DAY INFORMATION.
It’s time for another Universal Studios Hollywood Update! As we all know not a single park is ever so changing as Universal Studios Hollywood, so we’re back with another content filled update including the new security measures and checkpoints, the Walking Dead maze, (re)opening of restaurants, some Wizarding World of Harry Potter Updates, and way more! Check it out! 😀
California is home to a wide variety of different coasters, including about a dozen that feature some form of backwards motion. In the tradition of this series, we will be ranking the top five coasters with excellent backwards sections and elements, not just the coaster as a whole. As a result coasters with a brief or uneventful backwards section may not be included. With that in mind, let’s begin.
After the tour I took at Six Flags Magic Mountain for The New Revolution (which will be posted later today), I headed to Universal Studios Hollywood to take a look at the newly opened retail center in front of the park, as well as the newly refurbished Jurassic Park- The Ride. In this (quite short) update we’ll be focusing on these two, with a complete look at some of the upgraded Dinosaurs!
It’s been almost another week since our last visit, and with all these Wizarding World of Harry Potter soft-openings we just can’t stay away! Here’s this week’s update with some Jurassic Park progress, more on the new Hollywood Boulevard, new stores, refurbishment of the entry plaza in front of the park, and a whole lot more!
Although some of the most famous and talked about drops are found on massive roller coasters or drop towers, there’s something uniquely thrilling about a relatively unrestrained drop that ends in a splash, especially on a hot sunny California day. This list will be counting down the top five drops found on water rides throughout our wonderful state of California.
After quite a period of construction at Universal Studios Hollywood, the new 2016 Dining and Retail center is finally in its final stages of construction, where some more touches are added on the outside and the interiors of the building are being prepared for opening. In this quick update we’ll take a look at that new complex, as well as a very quick look at Jurassic Park and studio construction.
After six long hours of baking in the sun in front of Hogsmeade… The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened for guests to enjoy for the rest of the day. As it was ‘soft’ opened there are still tweaks that will be made… but let me start off with saying that the experience was already incredible! Immersive, exciting, and so intensely detailed you will discover amazing book and movie references in every direction you look. Let’s take a look!
Another week, another Universal Studios Hollywood Update. And another big one while we’re at it. With the final Wizarding World of Harry Potter touches and the Chinese Lunar New Year that Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating, there’s plenty to update on. Not to forget the countless construction and changes around the park!
