As you may have noticed, Jurassic World: VelociCoaster has now starting testing with functioning lights! We’ll have some pictures of that in today’s VelociCoaster update! This update will also cover some changes around the area and additional shots of daytime and sunset testing. Enjoy!
– In the past, many of our images have been posted, featured, and shared on forums, social media platforms and websites around the web. We work hard to provide the coverage that we do, and we encourage our audience to share our content and use our images, BUT ONLY IF proper credit is given to thecoasterkings.com. Thank you! –
Between the previous update and this one, I did snap a few more VelociCoaster pictures I’d love to share with you! These pictures are just from daytime testing, but I simply can’t get enough of photographing this ride. So enjoy some of these shots! Lots of these images are also shared to our social media channels, so make sure to follow us everywhere to enjoy our content! You can click on each image and swipe to take a closer look!
We’ll start the update with some of the changes/upgrades/etc. Then we’ll move onto a ton of pictures and some videos of the coaster testing with the lights.
We’ll start with the lights in the brake run being on! They changed colors several times during the 2 days I was taking pictures. These lights are found around the pre-launch, both launches, and brake run. These will interact with the lights found on the headrests of the trains as part of the ride’s storyline. To ensure all surroundings around VelociCoaster look nice and tidy when it opens, Universal Orlando Resort has started painting around Toon Lagoon’s waterfront. The white is primer, and in fact these pieces have already been repainted the original colors by now. (Forgot to get a picture of them repainted). Speaking of things that have been painted, the wooden wall between Mythos and VelociCoaster is now a dark brown. Not so sure how I feel about it. Over by the viewing platform near the entrance to VelociCoaster a metal guard has gone up at about the height of the bunny hill. I wonder if that’s protection against loose articles, or if it’s Jurassic World scenery on the other side. The entrance is coming together slowly. To the left of the image is another look at the lights in the brake run. The beautiful sight of a testing ride…
Though the park is barely open ’til it’s dark out on these weekdays, a combination of overcast and late afternoon lighting really helped with capturing the lights on the train. We’ll start with some shots from the front half/ first half of the coaster! You can click on each image and swipe to take a closer look!
We’ve got an array of amazing shots on the second page, showing off testing with lights in the trains on the second half of the ride layout. As well as some sunset shots and testing videos!
