Six Flags Magic Mountain Update – April 12, 2018

Alexander: Hello peeps! We’re back from our whirlwind tour of Europe to bring you a quick Six Flags Magic Mountain update before we dive into our first Euro-park feature, the exquisite Phantasialand in Western Germany.

– Over the years, many of our images have popped up on other sites and forums, awesome that our coverage spreads, not so awesome that not everyone mentioned where they got the images from. We are totally fine with our audience using our images, BUT ONLY IF credit is given to californiacoasterkings.com. Thank you!

Lightning Falls is almost completely orange and looks sharp!

Today was definitely an off-day at Magic Mountain. Uncommonly strong winds and/or maintenance kept several major coasters grounded, including Revolution, Tatsu, X2, Riddler’s Revenge, Scream!, and Ninja. Even the fountains were down for the count.

Major work is starting on the restoration of Johnny Rockets and the surrounding patio.

The area will see new tables, new paint, and a complete face lift of the building’s wrap-around marquee.

Some of the trim along the edges of the signs have been removed, and some have already been replaced with fresh lumber.

Sets of 3 lumber slats will festoon the each section of the marquee.

The CrayZanity site is poised to see some vertical constructon: machinery was preparing to make its way into the construction zone via the service entrance next to Tidal Wave.

Sandblasters is coming along nicely.

The handrails for Blasters are finished.

Scrambler has yet to being reassembly, but word on the street is the new color scheme “really pops.”

Boardwalk construction has now engulfed the bathrooms opposite of Riddler’s Revenge.

The aging sea-shanty dunny was in great need of a re-do. Great to see Magic Mountain steadily restoring their bathroom facilities.

Here’s how bae looked today.

Fortunately other bae is open…

But if X2 is your bae, you’re outta luck!

That concludes our small Six Flags Magic Mountain update. Now, prepare yourselves for a smorgasbord of European coaster updates coming ASAP!
