Knott’s Berry Farm loves the Holidays, and so do we! Of course the wonderful tradition of Knott’s Merry Farm is returning to the Buena Park theme-park this year. Including the return of some popular Merry Farm activities and attractions. Let’s see how Joy is in Season at Knott’s Merry Farm 2015:
Knott’s Merry Farm begins on November 21st of 2015, and runs through January 3rd of 2016! That’s quite a while, and should be plenty of time for you to check it out! We personally love the event, it feels very holiday-esque, with the lights and characters around Ghost Town, as well as the atmosphere in the rest of the park, it’s a fun and warming event to visit.
Let’s take a look at some of the Merry Farm activities of this year!
No visit to Knott’s Merry Farm is complete without catching a performance by the world famous beagle, Snoopy as he performs an ice spectacular, Merry Christmas, Snoopy! inside of the 2,100 Charles M. Schulz Theatre. In this exciting new show filled with whimsy and spectacular skating, Snoopy enjoys all of the best parts of the season, including trimming the Christmas tree, awaiting Santa’s arrival, and attending the festive Christmas Ball!
Expanded: When the sun sets on the Farm, the buildings and paths in Ghost Town will twinkle to the beat of holiday music while snow gently falls. This year, snow falls across even more of Ghost Town, from the School House to the Saloon and down to the Assay Office. This really is a pretty great part of the event, we’re glad it’s returning bigger than before!
Back by popular demand, the Ghost Town and Calico Railroad celebrate Christmas on Engine 41. Climb aboard a vintage railcar and meet an ever-changing group of Ghost Town residents eager to share their Christmas plans and songs with you. This is the third year Knott’s Merry Farm will present guests with Christmas on Engine 41, and we’re insanely glad it’s returning. It’s fun, interactive, and something you won’t find at other themepark holiday events.
Experience a unique live performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol or O. Henry’s A Gift of the Magi in an intimate setting of the historic Bird Cage Theatre.
When the sun sets on the Farm, Calico Stage lights up with the celebration of the season in Snoopy’s Merriest Tree Lighting. Join us for a musical, whimsical tree lighting featuring a cast of Toy Soldiers, Snowmen, Elves and America’s most famous beagle, Snoopy!
The toe tappin’, hand clappin’, comedy and bluegrass of Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies continues their Knott’s Merry Farm residency this holiday season in the Birdcage Theatre on select nights. Plus, the upbeat blue grass quartet, the Ghost Town Miners, make their eagerly awaited return to the Fireman’s BBQ stage. Southern California’s finest live bluegrass bands can only be seen at Knott’s Merry Farm.
Santa’s Cabin is returning to the Wilderness Dance Hall, where guests can take pictures with Santa, do wine tastings, get delicious pastries, roasted nuts, and many more holiday goodies. Let’s not forget to mention they have warm cookies with milk or eggnog!
Relax and unwind in Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village, as Ghost Town transforms into a shopping wonderland filled with dozens of local artisans selling their unique gifts. Can’t-miss highlights of the Village include powerful chainsaw sculpting and elegant glass blowing demonstrations. Entrance to the Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village is free Monday through Thursday, November 23 – December 10, and is included with theme park admission every day. Strolling the pathways of Ghost Town, the Calico Carolers share the sounds of the season through songs and hand bell chimes.
