Alexander: Look what’s coming to Hogsmeade this year!
A brand new nighttime show!
“Universal City, CA; Orlando, Fla., February 28, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort invite guests to experience an exciting new dimension of sorcery at “The Wizarding World of Harry PotterTM” with the introduction of the “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle,” a powerful, original and breathtaking projection experience.
This exciting all-new experience in “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will cast a mesmerizing display of light, music and special effects, unleashing the darkest creatures and villains, including the powerful Dark wizard Lord Voldemort.
Illuminating a darker side of the Wizarding World, this spectacular new light projection experience will be a departure from previous “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” and “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.” “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” will bring more intense tones and drama that reflect the Dark creatures and wizards that challenge goodness in the Wizarding World.”
While the experience is set to run at Universal Studios Hollywood on select evenings in April and May, an announcement has not yet been made for Universal Orlando Resort’s dates.

There’s no shortage of changes underway around Orlando’s Hogwarts Castle already. Perhaps that’s why Islands Of Adventures’ Dark Arts show comes later?
Or maybe they’re saving it until after the initial fanfare of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventure.
Of note, Hogsmeade will soon be a total cluster in just a few short months!
Who’s excited for the Hagrid coaster?
Who’s cautiously optimistic but not completely sold on the Hagrid coaster?
She’s definitely excited for the Hagrid coaster.
Actually, lets talk about this other thing for a moment:
Jurassic Park is doing a pretty solid job of building a s e c r e t major project right under the noses of unsuspecting parkgoers.
Walls are up throughout, but guests think “surely these are just to keep the dinosaurs in.”
There’s even a trash can keeping guests safe from the dinosaurs running lose on the patio of this restaurant.
Out windows we see the damage.
Look at that weird yellow dino in the foreground – surveying his handywork!
The bridge on the left is gone too. What a mess. It’s gonna take at least until 2020 to fix all this.
In fact, the dinos forced a total reconfiguration of one of the park arteries.
And a fresh lumber walkway. It even smells new.
A better picture of the bridge, which is now dinosaur toothpicks. When will the destruction end!?
Even Popyeye and Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges were not spared in the dinos’ collective wake.
Oh well. At least we still have Hulk and his friends.
Yes, I think it’s time for a quick Hulk Appreciation Photo Dump™
That about wraps up our Universal Orlando update for today! Stay tuned for an important Busch Gardens Tampa update tomorrow!
