Alexander: Welcome to May, folks! The month of HangTime at Knott’s Berry Farm is here!
– Over the years, many of our images have popped up on other sites and forums, awesome that our coverage spreads, not so awesome that not everyone mentioned where they got the images from. We are totally fine with our audience using our images, BUT ONLY IF credit is given to californiacoasterkings.com. Thank you!
Before we dive into this week’s crop of HangTime pics, here’s an interesting little development: TGI Fridays is getting a remodel! Here’s hoping they remodel the menu, too…
Store displays are gearing up with HangTime gear!
A ride on Sky Cabin shows us just how close we are to completion:
Won’t be long now before the construction walls come down!
A crater has appeared in the shadow of HangTime – a new home for Wipeout, perhaps? Wouldn’t be the first time the flat ride cheated death!
New additional lighting fixtures have been installed.
Things are looking fresh and prepped for guests!
The Boardwalk Surf Shop is looking sharp!
There’s a very nice aesthetic here that bridges contemporary and 90’s styles.
This blue wall is new as well (not the wall itself, but the fact that it’s blue).
In line for Ghostrider (which was running exceptionally well on this moist day), we made some new cat friends!
We met not one, not two, but FOUR of Knott’s Berry Farm’s “Ghost Town Calico Cats”.
We’ve visited with some of Disneyland Resort’s cats many times, but this was our first encounter with any of Knott’s cats.
The day after mine & Sean’s visit to Knott’s Berry Farm, the construction walls around HangTime came down! CCK Team Member Brian provided us with photos:
It’s all up-close-and-personal, now!
The entrance looks great!
Important safety information.
The queue lets guest get intimate with HangTime‘s superstructure.
The wood/sand tones used around the ride beautifully complement the ride’s color scheme.
The mural behind the brake run depicts a lovely sunset.
I’m a big fan of HangTime‘s beach bungalow station.
Let’s take a peak inside the new shop!
While much of HangTime features a relaxed, naturalistic aesthetic, the Boardwalk Surf Shop has a high-end, sophisticated appearance.
Can’t wait to stock up on totally tubular HangTime goodies!
I appreciate the use of different color fencing/railing for the shop.
Beachy tidbits are making themselves known around the ride.
Work is now being focused on the plot expected to house Wipeout.
Will be curious to see how much is done by the time HangTime media day gets here.
I expect even more little details to appear as we get closer to showtime!
May 17th can’t get here soon enough!
That concludes this week’s Knott’s/HangTime update! Only two more weeks to go!
