Six Flags Magic Mountain Park Update – August 11, 2019

Derrion: The summer season is coming to an end and I can not stress how great the visit to the park was this past weekend. Wait times were minimal and the coasters were running very well, for the most part.  Read on to see progress on West Coast Racers and some frightfully new changes in the park.

– In the past, many of our images have been posted, featured, and shared on forums, social media platforms and websites around the web. We work hard to provide the coverage that we do, and we encourage our audience to share our content and use our images, BUT ONLY IF proper credit is given to thecoasterkings.com. Thank you! –

Park Updates

The park has transitioned from the finger print scanning system to smart devices to scan your park tickets and passes. This should decrease your wait times at the turnstiles.

Just after the entrance a new sign was added to Six Flags photo to encourage park guests to redeem their pictures. Most memberships come with a free photo print out, be sure to check your membership rewards page for more info.

Need a quick way to the top of Samurai Summit?  The Helpful Honda Express is the best way to get to the other side of the mountain and one of the best ways to see the beauty of the park.

I’m so excited to announce that Fright Fest construction has begun! The popular horror event will return this year select nights  Sept. 1- Nov 3.

We have not received an official maze line up from the park but it looks like the popular Sewer of Souls maze is returning this year.

Last years scare zone, Nightmares: A Twisted Fantasy, was a success as you head towards Tatsu. New lighting fixtures have appeared, which means we will be keeping a close eye on which scare zone will inhabit the space this year.

While fright fest is just a round the corner, the park would also like to remind guests of its other seasonal events. Holiday in The Park will return later this year as well for select dates. Slated to be bigger than the previous year.

The best thing about the seasonal events in the park are the new seasonal food items. This fire roasted corn, while not a seasonal item, can be found at Kent Farm Roasted Corn in DC Universe. It is 6.99 before any discounts.

Twisted ‘Wiches has a new selection on the menu as well. The park has been doing a great job at adding a variety of good food to its restaurant lineup.

The first aid employees have returned back into their recently renovated interior building. If at any time you are not feeling well or need assistance the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

It was not an extremely hot day in the park today compared to most previous visits. But why not cool down in some A/C?

The talent in this show is totally out of this world! If you did not get a chance to check out Kwerk it will be back in the parks next season, even more innovative than before.

Twisted Colossus is back for the current season! It has reopened with only two train operations. The orange train was seen off of the transfer track and looks to be under maintenance.

The 4th dimensional beast has reopened as well! Notice, this shot was taken at the peak of the day and it only had a 15 min wait.
