Heart and Seoul Land

The pressure’s off at our three most low-key park experiences in Korea: Seoul Land, Robotland, and Children’s Grand Park. We kept it so casual that the latter two parks weren’t even on our itinerary. As for Seoul Land: it may not be as flashy as the other major parks in Seoul, but it’s almost certainly the most pleasant.

Exploring the Thrills of Seoul Land and Beyond!

Dive into the vibrant world of Korean amusement parks with us!

Welcome to another exciting installment of Coaster Kings. In today’s journey, we explore the exhilarating attractions of Seoul Land, a thrilling destination in Seoul, followed by a sneak peek into Robotland and Children’s Grand Park.

Arrival at Seoul Land

Navigating to Seoul Land is a breeze, thanks to its location within the Seoul Grand Park complex. While public transportation is an option, we opted for the convenience of an Uber to the East Gate entrance, right beneath the iconic Black Hole 2000 coaster. This entrance provided an immediate thrill as we exchanged our tickets and entered the park, eager for the rides ahead.

The Coaster Experience

Our first stop was the much-anticipated Black Hole 2000. Alex shared his excitement as we experienced the ride’s unique corkscrews and stunning views. Despite a slightly rough ride, it delivered the adrenaline rush we were after. The coaster’s design, featuring elevated inversions, sparked a conversation about the evolution of roller coasters in the West. Alex noted,

“They put their inversions like flying high up in the air just ’cause they canโ€ฆ that’s pretty smart.”

Next, we hopped on the Double Loop Coaster, which was a smoother ride, offering great laterals and positive Gs. The lush surroundings added to the experience, making it feel like a winding journey through a forest. Sean remarked on its charming aesthetics,

“It was such a clean aesthetic.”

Snacks and Surprises

After our thrilling coaster rides, we took a moment to recharge with a local snack: walnut cakes filled with red bean paste. The unique flavors were a highlight, fueling us for more adventures.

We also tried the Wild Mouse, which, unexpectedly gentle, left Alex wanting a bit more excitement.

“I was just kind of waiting for it to feel wild, and it didn’t. It was mild.”

Final Thoughts

Seoul Land is not just about the rides; it’s an experience filled with classics and all the right vibes. Make sure to listen to the full episode, where we dive into the wonders of Robotland and Children’s Grand Park as well!
